Yes. I do my instant oatmeal in the bowl in my microwave every morning.

I would say yes to a can of 12 oz. Or so (a regular can of chili).

To what temperature are they oven safe?

I have not used them in the oven yet even though it says oven safe

Very beautiful and high quality dining set. Bright blue colour, exactly as on the pictures. Great packaging- everything was intact. Bought it as a birthday gift, so could not take pictures unfortunately. Definitely recommend it.
