FUZE FerPrime Rust Converter 500ml - Rust treatment and primer.

Bought it to treat a metal bird bath. Early days yet, but bath is full of water and no rust. See my picture.Seems to go a long way too. Treated some old tools while the brush was dirty. All turned a satisfying black colour.

Good product that does what it supposed to.Easy to apply and a good price, shake before use.

Product works well on surface rust. Unfortunately the tub had leaked by the time I opened the box.....

I read the description and thought it would be pretty great if it worked. It worked.Used on the iron bands on some old whiskey barrels which were pretty rusty and I did not want to paint.Removed loose rust with a zirconium flap disk on my angle grinder. Dry brushed to remove the dust. Applied the product as directed.After two coats they quickly dried to a lovely black finish. Water just runs off the surface almost as though they are coated in oil. Perfect!Only caveat is that as mentioned by others reviews, the finish won't be acceptable where a perfectly even result is essential. This is because it goes on in a sort of fine foam, and these tiny bubbles leave an almost hammered surface finish when dry. Not a criticism though as it seemed obvious to me that this product never claimed to do anything other than arrest further corrosion to already damaged metal.

Used this to stop my exhaust from rusting. Worked well, exhaust looks much better, and should last longer now.

I have a steel chain used to pull tree stumps and it had become quite rusty as I left it lying on the ground outside all winter. I used a brush to paint this liberally over all the links while feeding the chain off a table and into a bucket. Having coated the whole chain I hung it, still dripping, from a couple of tree branches to dry. It is quite cold outside but dried completely in about an hour so I now have a nice black chain with a sort of waterproof plasticky feel to it rather than dusty rusty brown. I am very pleased with the result.One word of warning. Wear rubber gloves or your skin will be stained a rather disgusting colour that does not wash off. Also the brush ends up with a slightly stick resinous and waterproof coating on the bristles which may spoil it for other uses. I would use it again.

Product used to deal with deep and surface rust on double garage door - facing the sea, so salt environment. The instructions were clear, it was easy to paint on both rust and sanded paint areas and it seems to be very effective.

Brought mainly to do up some rusting black painted metal bird baths on stands. This is supposed to be resin based as I understand it, which is much more environmentally friendly than a petroleum based rust converter. Appearance wise this at least on something iron has a nice slightly bronzy black finish that looks quite smart by itself but it can treated as primer and painted over easily. Overall very happy with the results, just wish I'd brought a slightly smaller tub!
