I actually use this to weigh mail parcels and it works like a dream!! I mail small parcels and letters and I need to know how many ounces the parcels weigh to know how many stamps to use, it’s very simple to use. I love this little scale, it’s perfectly functional and easy to store away and doesn’t weigh very much. What a versatile little scale! It’s compatible with grams ounces and pounds so it can be used for multiple things but I bought it for weighing packages but if I ever needed it for kitchen use I could easily just use it for that too! And it’s a nice sleek stainless steel and black appearance so it looks great in any room of the house.

Use for my dogs prescription diet. Price was reasonable. Was shipped out fairly quick. Small enough to tuck away and large enough to hold his food bowls/measuring cups.

At first I found it annoying that cookbooks from England had metric units for measurements. My brother gave me a couple of them years ago and I never used them. Then I recently started making sourdough bread and all the books said to weigh the ingredients because the amount of sourdough starter in volume doesn't matter as much as the weight of it due to the fermentation bubbles. The kitchen scale I had was a tiny 3" one and it was hard to read with a mixing bowl sitting on top of it. This digital scale works great with large bowls. It is easy to read once you make sure you have it set on the right setting: grams for dry, liters or oz for liquids, etc. I almost only use the gram setting because that is what the sourdough recipes use. I love the tare setting where you zero out the scale with the bowl sitting on it empty. Then you can add the grams of flour needed, zero out again and weigh the salt, zero out, etc until you have all the ingredients you want in the bowl. I slide mine under the shelves on my countertop that hold my dutch ovens. It is about one inch high. My only regret is that it doesn't have a cover over the buttons and screen. I saw one like that on a video and thought the lid would be a bother to have to lift all the time. Then I spilled flour on mine and had to try to get flour out of all the cracks. I can't scoop flour out of the canister without getting it all over the place. I just plan to always have to wipe the scale down after I use it. It is just a little sluggish in the reading catching up with what I have put in the bowl. I have learned to go a little slower as I get near the reading I want. The screen isn't bright, but I always have lots of lights on when I'm baking. The only problem I have with reading is making sure I can see the g so I know it is set on grams.
