Is it slippery to walk / run on? I want to lay it down because my garden ( pedestrianised grass area) is a muddy mess, w/out covering it with slabs et

It’s not slippery when wet. I’m using it and it does what it’s supposed to do would recommend.

What weight is the fabric (gsm)?

I would guesstimate about 100gsm. Its very tightly woven and it takes a long time for water to drain through, I've laid mine on a slightly slopping area, so water flows off. As a weed suppressor it's has done the job upto now, 2 months.
