The quality of the foam is excellent—it’s firm enough to be supportive but has a soft, plush feel that makes it very comfortable to use without shoes. It’s surprisingly lightweight, which adds to its versatility if you want to move it between different sitting areas. While the foam is durable, washability is the only thing to keep in mind. If you spill something, I’ve found it best to spot-treat with soap and a hose, then let it air dry all day. For regular maintenance and odors, a quick antimicrobial spray does the trick. Overall, this is a high-quality investment and a great value for money for anyone looking to improve their ergonomic setup. *Note* One thing to note is that the soft fabric cover is a bit of a magnet for pet hair, but it’s easy enough to clean. On the plus side, the bottom of the rest features excellent traction beads that keep it firmly in place on my floor mat. This is a huge win because it means I’m not constantly chasing the footrest around with my feet while I'm trying to work.

I bought this to do exactly what it is supposed to do-raise my feet, and it does that excellently. It's got a nice moderately dense foam that has a good bounce-back, and has lasted for a while with no deflation at all. I will say if you like soft memory foam, this item isn't for you. The removable material covering the foam is sturdy, I've had no issues with wear except one small tear at the end of the zipper. The grip pad on the bottom is still fine, and works well even on carpet. This is probably more to do with my not-ideal leg placement, but the angle of the foam is a bit rough for my ankles after a while. Maybe it's an inch too thick? If I flip the shallow slope to the front, it works better, but then my feet slide forwards off the pad. That's my only gripe with this product, and that is more to do with bad posture than anything else, I suppose. All in all, a very good product that does what it intends to do.

I buy a lot of things at Amazon and I have never left a review of anything. This item has been life changing for me. It is simple, exactly the right size for under a desk. Stays stable in its location. It is wonderful

UPDATING TO ADD: I ordered the wider version because of how antsy I am when seated, and it's perfect! As noted in my original review, nothing wrong with the narrower version, it just turns out I move around a bit more and the wider version works better for me. All other positive attributes noted below still apply to the wider version.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Because I am short, I *just* barely can't touch the floor while seated in my desk chair, leading to all kinds of posture issues and achey knees/hips/back. Now, I can comfortably rest my feet securely on this foot rest, which makes a huge difference for my comfort while seated. I work from home, so I also get to use this without shoes, and the biggest surprise is how delightfully comfy this rest is to dig my toes into throughout the day! I find myself stretching my feet and ankles throughout the day more, and it feels really good. Only downside is not the fault of the foot rest: I am apparently a physically restless person, and find myself moving around enough that I wish I'd bought the wider version (so I wouldn't have to keep moving the foot rest around to keep up with my restlessness). For me, the foot rest stays where I put it, it's comfortable, and it's easy to adjust under my desk throughout the day. I'm honestly baffled that it took me this long to realize how useful a foot rest would be! I think some reviews note an odor right when the package is unsealed (mine came verrrrry vacuum sealed), and I did too right when I opened it; I chalked it up to just what foam normally smells like, and I didn't find it objectionable. Anyway, after letting the foam expand from being compressed and airing out for a day, I do not detect any residual odor, and the size and shape are exactly as shown in the images.

Put it under my desk to provide some foot support and occasionally switch leg position as sitting in the normal 90-degree angle can get tiresome. It is wrapped in a vacuum-sealed package to save space and expands upon opening. I was disappointed with the height as I thought the footrest would be slightly higher. However, over time I got used to it and I come to use it everyday at my home desks. It takes a lot of strain off putting your feet flat on the ground. Additionally, the sensation with socks on is quite weird so I usually go rest my bare feet on the pillow or wear sandals on the top of it. I think it is quite reasonable for the price.

When you take it out of the package, it is questionable. I opened it and thought, “there’s no way this is going to be what I ordered,” because of how flat it was. HOWEVER, after a few hours (or several, I can’t remember), it was exactly what I was wanting. The footrest is very comfortable and is great if you have short legs like me, or have bad hips/back. It helps a lot with preventing pain and provides support for those issues. So far, it has remained firm with multiple uses.
