The Custard Pi 6 is a relay card providing 8 relays with ribbon connector for the Raspberry Pi. This is a ready-built card and requires no assembly. This product now comes with an additional stackable connector to make it compatible with the Raspberry Pi A+ and B+ and Raspberry Pi 0, 2 & 3, as well as the standard/original versions. The Custard Pi 6 provides the following benefits: 1. The board simply plugs into the 26 way GPIO connector Using the supplied ribbon connector. The LED fitted to the 3.3V rail confirms correct plug in. 2. Uses the two I2C pins on the GPIO connector to control 8 relays 3. There are 8 screw terminals provided to access the three pins of each relay: C (common), NC (Normally Closed) and NO (Normally Open). 4. The necessary functions to control the relays are provided by SF Innovations making it very easy for the programmer. 5. Switch S1 on each Custard Pi 6 can be used to set it a unique address with a choice of 8. Up to 8 different cards can be controlled each with 8 relays - allowing a total of 64 relays to be controlled using the Custard Pi 6. 6. There are 2 26 way connectors provided on each Custard Pi 6 allowing a maximum of 8 to be daisy chained. It uses 5v power, enabling it to be powered directly from the Raspberry Pi without an external power source. Please note you are buying the Custard Pi 8 relay card, which does NOT include a Raspberry Pi itself.

Great relay board to control Goelst curtain tracks
This relay board does exactly what I need to control some Goelst curtain tracks on a scheduled basis.The online documentation is helpful to get started if you have a technical background. Was fairly straight forward to port the basics into my own scripts for automated curtain control.

Extremely complicated, needs an idiot guide.
I'm quite good with electronics and computers etc, this frustrated me beyond reason. The website is not very informative and there are no click and go programs for the novice.Would not buy again.

This version with wifi makes this a great machine
Great little computer. Very adaptable. The inclusion of wifi makes it much easier to use an allows more flexibility. Using this with a custard pi relay to make a heating and house controller.

Beware of the Ribon Cable, the pink line is not pin one for GPIO
Wrongly assumed because of the notched ribbon socket pin one would be a given.After killing TWO raspberry Pis (1st gen) I looked at the pin out.How could you set people up to fail in such a costly way?You are obviously a geeky company and I let my guard down.Thanks for the lesson though.
