Update - After adjusting the bracket slightly and using 1500Mhz rechargeable batteries there was a slight improvement in that approaching road signs light up well but the light that hits the road is still poor. In addition, a screw in the front bracket came loose and wouldn't grip the plastic hole again. The lamp is now in a fixed position as I used superglue to fix the screw back in. Therefore, I will still keep my rating as three stars (3*) as there was a slight improvement with more powerful batteries but the extra star the product could have got was then lost due to the screw problem. All in all, I would recommend these lights now but make sure you have some good glue at hand, just in case.I would have expected the front light to be bright enough to light up at least 20 metres of road but sadly there is just not the brightness there. This appears to be becoming standard practise for manufacturers, to design lights that have a long battery life but they are forgetting that cycles have to conform to the very same laws as cars and motorcycles regarding lights. If anything, this is a good set of lights for being visible to other road users / pedestrians but are likely to be dangerous to use on rural roads as a cyclist will be inclined to have to swerve to avoid potholes / obstructions at the last second and therefore can cause accidents. As I said, this is a problem that all manufacturers are creating and it will only be after some deaths that the law is enforced and old legislation is used again. For urban cycling, I can recommend these as they do the job but I would certainly think twice about using them in unlit / rural areas.

Spent ages looking at different lights on Amazon and finally settled with these and so far, really happy with my purchase.When I started cycling 20+ years ago, bike lights were huge, heavy, not that bright and the d size battery's didn't last a week.How they have changed. These lights aren't mega bucks, but there really compact and really bright! And so far the battery's last for an age.Highly recommend these lights to anybody.

Good light output, easy to fit, I just wonder if the rear light will fall apart if I go over a big bump. It simply pulls apart to change batteries. Not a positive feel to the click-fit of the two halves.

Front light doesn't clip on properly so that it is secure. Came off when I went over a bump. Annoying as worry about it coming off whenever cycle but also potentially dangerous as it could fall in front wheel, and damage bike if not yourself.

It's ok-ish - but for not much more on Amazon you can buy a brighter, rechargeable front light.The bracket/torch connection is poorly designed, I had to dremmel a bit off to make it click in.

very bright and really noticeable on flash setting. No one can say they didn't see me.Easy to fit and the brackets seem better designed than most. Only time will tell how robust they are.

I am very happy with my lights, But I didn't put them on a bike, I put them on my partners mobility scooter, and Yes, I am very happy with them, thanks.
