Calcolatrice superba

In-Depth Review of the TI-Nspire CX (Comparing to an Older Model I've Owned for Years)
Detailed Review of the TI-Nspire CX Graphing Calculator:Note: This review will be updated over time as I use and learn more about this calculator. I will also be eventually uploading a video that will compare my old 2007 TI-Nspire to this newer TI-Nspire CX color model. After noticing that my trusty Nspire from High School was starting to glitch out and fail frequently, I decided that due to the large amount of mathematics approaching me towards the end of my college career that I should invest in a new model. This review will include my hands on experiences coming from the prior model._____________________________________________________________________________________________________PROS:- [CLEAR & COLOR DISPLAY]: Immediately after booting this up, I was very impressed by the full color, back-lit display. After 8 years of working under a lamp or other light source just to see the screen, this was a pleasant improvement as you can adjust the brightness between a few different levels.- [RECHARGEABLE BATTERY]: Another quickly noticeable addition to this model is a rechargeable battery. No more, "Oh shoot, the exam is in 30min and I need to buy 4 triple A batteries!". The battery life appears to be more than adequate and means less money (and stress) spent over batteries.- [SMOOTH ADJUSTMENT TO THE NEW OS]: I was also glad to see that while this is a much newer calculator by 5+ years, the OS is still as familiar as ever with improvements across the board. For most calculations/functions, I could quickly figure them out based on my prior knowledge from the older TI-Nspire. The addition of color certainly makes the experience that much better as well!- MUCH FASTER CPU: I was also glad to see the insane speed improvements between my 07' Nspire and this newer CX model. Calculations happen almost instantaneously and there are very few times where I have experienced any latency at all. The older model I had took forever to boot up while this one boots in seconds.- [SLIMMER DESIGN]: While they both appear to weigh about the same when holding them, the newer Nspire CX has a much more streamlined and efficient design. The older model I had was bulky towards the top (I'm assuming due to the dot-matrix LCD display it has) and it caused the calculator to look a bit awkward and not really sit flush with the rest of the design. They've sinced improved the design by quite a lot with this new Nspire Cx.- [BUTTON DESIGN]: The older TI-Nspire I have put all of it's letters in between other keys and was slightly annoying to use. This newer CX model has a dedicated section for the alphabet at the very bottom of the calculator. The other buttons are also much easier to use as they're all in fairly uniform sizes.- [FUNCTIONALITY]: The newer TI-Nspire CX, while remaining familiar with the OS, adds a ton more functionality (much of which I'm still exploring and learning).CONS:- It's not the CAS model, which can factor, expand, and do much more for you. Bear in mind that the CAS model is also banned for 90% of exams and college courses as it cheats you learning the material. Some professors are told to watch for the fairly obvious design differences between the CX and CX-CAS models.- I will update this section with more if I come across any notable CONS!_____________________________________________________________________________________________________Overall, from what I've experienced so far, I highly recommend updating to this calculator if you were a fan of the older versions of it. Especially for the much faster CPU and color display. If you have anything you would like me to elaborate on further, please let me know!
