This product is made out of sturdy metal so it's not going to break or bend. It easily fit in my ancient window that lifts vertically and has a broken lock. The nice thing is it's adjustable so if you want to open your window for some fresh air, you can set it so that your window will only open as far as you want. This is an excellent window lock and I'm going to purchase a couple more for my other windows. Its definitely worth buying.

I love these security bars. They are heavy and heavy duty. I highly recommend. I’m having to return them because the alignment doesn’t measure up to fit my windows.

Easy to assemble. Gets the job done. Love how it has wide range of extension to extend to your need. Perfect for anyone for that extra protection. Would definitely recommend, repurchase, and buy as a gift!

Look good in place, but sizing is not quite right. I had to fashion an pad to adjust for the difference.

I need to keep one of my windows slightly ajar, but wanted to ensure no one could push it open further and enter my house that way. I bought this bar, and it’s great. The distance between the top (inside groove) of my window frame, and the top (outer wood) of my lower sliding panel is roughly 24 inches. The bar fits perfectly. There is a screw hole on the bottom “foot” of the bar, which makes the it way more stable when used. Otherwise it may fall with minimal shaking/pulling on the window. No screws are included, but it’s a handy feature. Also, there are 13 pinholes that allow you to adjust the bar length, spaced every inch. Just measure before you buy, and have a screw and drill handy, and this product may be for you.

I would give it 4 stars if there was already non marking rubber on the ends, but I had to add my own. Other than that, it's perfect. Just a metal security bar for the window - nothing to really write home about. It is easily adjustable with the metal pins.

Yall, you won't believe this. So I got these originally for security for my basement windows. When I installed them I noticed how tight it closed my windows and how the draft was gone from them. So I went to another drafty window and installed them there and the draft was gone. So began my many purchases...fast forward to a whole lot of purchases and a bunch of windows secured and I have literally reinforced and winterized\summerized my house. Hahahahahha! I still have to put those fuzzy inserts in between the windows to catch the draft in between, but I no longer have issues with windows drooping or not closing all the way, and air getting out or in!!!!!!
