Most ear buds fall out of my ears. Has anyone in my situation tried these and had success?

Hi Raine, Since this headset has the 'loop' connecting them, there's a little inward tension. I've sometimes had that problem with earbuds, but they have been just 'buds'--separate from each other. These never fell out of my ears.

Can anyone tell me if i can use an audio tehnica atr2usb 3.5mm to usb adapter to use this headset with a non-usb microcassette transcriber?

The technica atr2usb 3.5mm to usb is a device that takes a headset that has a 3.5mm plug type and allows for it to be used, or plugged into, the USB port an a computer. The headset you are interested in already has a USB plug type. If you have a "non-usb microcassette transcriber" I would suggest purchasing a headset that does not have a USB plug type to begin with. Spectra makes headsets that are compatible with tape transcribing machines, but knowing the brand of your machine will help determine which plug type you will need.

What's the difference between a pair of headphones like these and any other pair of headphones with volume control that you'd use for music?

good morning! this headset is just like a normal headset , just has the inline volume and USB cord

118 inches. The volume control is at 94 inches from the USB plug. There is a clip on the cord above the volume control, closer to the headset and that is adjustable.
