FoxAlien 4080 Y-axis Extension Kit for Masuter Pro, with Upgraded T-slot Hybrid Spoilboard CNC Router Machine Working Area Extend (15.75" x 31.5", X-Y)

Setup is honestly pretty straight forward. Much easier to install the extension compared to the original machine setup. You do need to disconnect nearly everything which is annoying but the finished product makes it worth it. Like all FoxAlien products in my experience, the build quality is above the competition. You're paying a bit more but you get much higher material. For my money, I don't think there's a better option at this price point. Great value!

Works great. A little time consuming putting together but I also did 2 upgrades at the same time and it turned into a mess for a while. Along with this upgrade I added the Nema23 stepper motors. If you do both upgrades I recommend doing the 4080 Extension first then do the other upgrades after. I wasted a lot of time doing them at the same time. The surface bed on the 4080 is a lot stronger than the original offering way more support. Well worth the time and money to add the extension kit.

Awesome product. Completely changes the stuff you can do with the CNC. A bit of a challenge to install but there’s pretty good videos on YouTube.

Very happy with the new extension. It has double my work area and is dooing a great job.

Apart from having to borrow 4 bolts from the old table (the upgrade calls for a total of 28 M5*16 cap-head bolts, but the kit provides only 24), installation went very smoothly, thanks to detailed instructions. (It is intimidating to see all that has to be disassembled and re-assembled, but it's all quite simple to do.) Wiring the new drag chain to the controller box was the hardest part, and even that wasn't difficult - just required care. Everything worked on the homing test, and my first carve - 9"x28" with one bit change - ran flawlessly.

Good buy, at first I though it was quite expensive but having put it together and feeling how well made and sturdy it all is plus doubling my work area potential I’m really satisfied

Il kit è stato consegnato puntualmente e in condizioni integre, ma purtroppo la catena di collegamento elettrica era cablata al contrario ovvero, la canalina flessibile dell'asse Y aveva un numero di maglie insufficiente a raggiungere l'asse X (o ponte Gantry) a fine corsa, mentre il contenitore flessibile per i cavi dell'asse trasversale, aveva troppe magli in catena e cadeva dal supporto, ciò mi ha obbligato ad estrarre tutto il cablaggio e ripristinarlo in modo corretto. Un lavoraccio di quasi 6 ore, con il rischio di strappare i connettori o peggio strappare i tag dei connettori e non sapere più quali motori fossero collegati. Qualcuno mi dirà "potevi fare il reso", ma ormai la macchina era in fase di montaggio e non potevo permettermi di lasciare il laboratorio in attesa di un refound o un reso... Molto male. L'unica cosa che è andata bene è che io sono un meccatronico diplomato e queste macchine sono state il mio pane quotidiano per molti anni, tuttavia un'altra persona vi avrebbe fatto passare un brutto quarto d'ora con il servizio clienti. Merito almeno un set di utensili omaggio. Vergogna.
