would it fit a handgun

It depends what kind of hand gun/pistol you want to fill. In some cases you can fill a mag by removing the small filler tip on your speed loader or the mag could just be only fed best by hand. Unfortunately you did not inform me which type of weapon you own as filling different mags have different methods. Hope this helps.

whats the little attachment for?

After clipping it on you hold it directly over the nozzle of any front loading magazines as a guider. It's kinda self explanitory if you hold the magazine up to it you see how it logically fits.

Is this OK for 6mm as well as other mm

Hi Terrence, as far as I am aware these are designed for 6 mm only.... as there are very few 8mm airsoft guns on the market I believe this 6mm loader is a standard size and doesn't do both sizes of bb, if you are looking for 8mm speedloader these are a bit more specialised, hope this helps :)kind regardsChris

Personally I don't use speed loaders on pistols, but this will feed .25 bbs no matter what they're made of.
