Simple yet sturdy enough for a large strong dog
Works exactly as described. It looks nearly identical to another portable overhead dog trolley system by another company that I first saw at a local camping supply store, but it was out of stock everywhere that I looked. I bought this hoping that it would be similar and so far it has totally met my expectations.I was looking for a safe option to tether my large 90lb dog that is not trustworthy off leash to not run around and pester everyone for treats (Great Pyranees is French for "Great at disaPYRing"), but he constantly gets himself tangled up in regular tie outs or can pull the anchor out of the ground when he puts his mind to it. This is a great way of giving him a bit of freedom right next to our campsite or picnic table for a little while while leaving our hands free to set up camp or cook. As long as you have 2 trees or other solid upright objects to wrap-around, it works fantastic. On one trip we actually tethered it between my car ( door frame) and a tree, and although it was closer to the ground it still worked great. There is a heavy duty double locking carabiner that slides along the rope that is easy to get a leash/long line on and off, but sturdy enough that even when my dog pulled on it with a running start it did not break.(Important Note: If it's not already obvious, you should not attach this to a collar, you need to put this on a well fitting harness so that if he does get a running start and pulls he doesn't snap his own neck. If your dog is an escape artist with harnesses like my fluffy goofball, look for a harness that has a 3rd strap around the belly that is *slightly* tighter than the rib cage, it is much harder for them to shimmy backwards out of that type of harness. )Once he learned that the rope was solid enough that he wouldn't be able to yank it free like he would with the tie outs that anchor to the ground, he stopped trying to pull on it as hard as he could and just mellowed out with staying at leash length along the ropes run. Hooray! Now I can go camping and actually enjoy doing things other than holding my dogs leash the entire time while everyone else enjoys the camping trip. So far the rope seems to be holding up well to the constant friction of the carabiner running along it, and it doesn't have a lot of stretch/slack after it is tightened in place. It has gotten wet, I've rinsed mud off of it, I've set it up a couple of dozen times by now and it is still in great condition. The whole thing is light weight and packs down very compactly into its own storage bag that it comes with, which makes it easy to keep stored in my car at all times. The bright orange rope is reflective which is super helpful at night if you leave it set up at your camp you will see it with the least bit of light from your lantern or even moonlight. We have gotten a lot of questions and compliments about it at the campgrounds we've been at from other folks looking for a safe and easy way to keep a large dog close by, especially when you can't always keep a leash in your hand and carrying a large dog crate to fit a 90 pound dog on every camping trip is cumbersome if not impossible. This would make a great gift for anyone in your life who camps with their dog. 5/5 stars from me, and 4/4 paws from my dog Falcor who is probably thrilled that he can come on more camping trips with me now that I have a good way of keeping him close by.

Good design and easy to set up
This is great for camping trips. I use a ratchet strap on one end to get it tight and wrap around the tree. Keeps my 75 LBS crazy weimaraner within our sight

Love it!
Perfect for anything on the go with my dog. Two trees are nice to have but just one sturdy thing is sufficient. I clip my dog to the end when there’s only one tree/post and she does great. Way easier than a steak tie out and lighter weight too. She dragged it through the mud and it washed in the machine so easy

Works well
I don't use the rope between trees but have it attached to the deck so he can go out in the yard. I have had no problems with it. I have had it for a while and it is still in good shape even though it is always outside in all the weather. I went through about 5 of those plastic coated wire things that lasted only a short time before the wire inside the would rusted and broke. Will stick with the rope from now on.

Great Product
This is great for camping as it keeps the leads up and out of the way. Dogs love the freedom

Great buy
I use it for my dog when we have company. He has stranger anxiety and this keeps him in a small area of the yard. He loves running back and forth and comes in happy.

Reflective at night
If you're like I am, you are probably sick and tired of walking into things at night and practically killing yourself. Well, this dog tie out cable has solved that by being magically reflective at night. I hit it with the smallest of light beams and it lights up like a damn Christmas tree. No matter where the damn dog was, I could always know that I wasn't about to get garroted by the lead line I had her attached to, and that my friends is awesome!

Good Piece
It’s a good piece. My potty is a little rough and never stays on it long. But it stretches and it is strong. I have yet to find any weak spots and have used it often this past summer. Hoping it will stay strong for at least another summer. Bag is cute and the lead fits well in the bag.
