This aerator is very well made and of excellent quality. Works very well and would definitely recommend.

For a very large garden, this obviously wouldn’t be any good, but the electric solid tine machines are very expensive if you want something that’s good. The cheap manual roller versions I find are useless unless the ground is already soft. Anyway I’ve used this a couple of times and with the right technique it’s pretty easy work for a fairly small garden - say 60 m². The technique I use (if ground quite firm) which may be wrong but works for me is I push the Tool in at an angle. This is about 30°, making sure though that my foot is pushing directly onto the blade cove not at another angle so as not to side pressure on the spikes. It goes in easier (especially on hard ground) because you’re going in a couple of spikes at a time. Then I just rock it over the other side to another 30° and pull it out. If the ground is not quite as firm then same thing but forward and back, not side to side, and this is much easier. For soft ground no real technique needed, but my ground is rarely soft. All very simple and rocking it of course it always gives it a little bit of a bigger hole as well, which I find helps when you’re putting wetting agent down. Takes a while but quite relaxing.

Easy to use and does a good job./

Easy to put together, feels quite sturdy. You do need to put some weight on it (so it's not for people with back ache or mobility issues) but it does what it says on the tin, the "pointy bits" are firmly attached to the base so I feel confident when I push on it. It's also a good idea to wear shoes with thick soles (not flip flops). My advice: do it after it has rained, because it's quite hard on a dry soil, but much easier after a good rain (not too wet though or it will take off your grass with it...)

I used this twice over the hot summer we had here in the UK in 2025. The first time - it was tough work because the ground was dry and hard, and the lawn had not been aerated in 20+ years. Hard work - but fun - and a jolly good workout. I then applied a combo fertiliser + weed killer and let time do it's thing. Towards the end of summer, I aerated again, much quicker and easier this time around and then applied grass seed. I've loaned this tool to many friends, all of whom have reported favourable results.

Easy to put together and you get a couple of spare spikes in case any need replacing in the future. Stores well in my garden storage locker (which is only big enough for mower, strimmer, tools and a couple of fold out chairs). Works well and is well made. I would say it is good value but you could spend more and get something better if you need to use this a lot or have a much larger garden. My garden is about 90x20 feet and is an irregular shape. It did take me quite a long time to use this tool to aerate the soil. A bigger item or even an electric/petrol one would have been quicker (but more expensive and harder to store). Would recommend for smaller gardens or where you won't do a lot of this year after year.

Ich habe den Rasenlüfter seit einigen Monaten und bisher zwei- bis dreimal benutzt. Unser Boden ist je nach Stelle eher fest bzw. lehmig, teilweise aber auch sandiger. Eingesetzt habe ich ihn überwiegend bei eher trockenem Boden. Die Zinken gehen mit normalem Körpergewicht gut in den Boden. Ich wiege ungefähr 65 kg und musste nicht zusätzlich stark drücken. Der Griff wirkt stabil und wackelt bei mir nicht. Erde oder Gras bleiben auch nicht ständig zwischen den Zinken hängen, sodass man damit recht zügig arbeiten kann. Nach dem Lüften habe ich zusätzlich Sand eingebracht. Einen sichtbaren Unterschied am Rasen kann ich aktuell noch nicht sicher beurteilen, das würde ich dem Gerät aber nicht negativ anrechnen. Verbogene Zinken, Rost oder andere Probleme habe ich bisher nicht. Wenn ich etwas ändern könnte, dürfte die Arbeitsbreite für meinen Geschmack etwas größer sein, damit man bei größeren Flächen schneller vorankommt. Ansonsten funktioniert der Rasenlüfter genau wie erwartet und ich würde ihn wieder kaufen.

Stevig en degelijk product. Ik gebruik het voor een gazon van ongeveer 30m2 en ben dan een goed half uur bezig. Het is een mooi systeem om een paar keer per seizoen te beluchten. Het heeft massieve spikes, hierdoor zijn de gaten weer redelijk snel dicht. Persoonlijk vindt ik holle spikes beter omdat de gaten veel langer open blijven, maar is fysiek veel zwaarder in gebruik.

Une largeur plus importante aurait été appréciable mais je savais ce que j'achetais. Correspond bien à mes attentes

Es muy fuerte, aunque si el terreno está blando o ha llovido recientemente mejor.
