How do i know if they will fit my mountain bike?

As long as the spindle (threaded shaft) is 9/16 inch. Any cranks with 9/16” female threads will fit these - Check your bike manufacture specs and then shop on Amazon - these Himiway are great

They are built well, I'm 215, with no issues

Is this a set of pedals or one pedal?

Yes. Two pedals were sent. I like them.

Are the pins at all sharp? I am being injured by another brand too often.

Hi, the pins are what I would call "medium sharp". They are not pointed like an ice pick, they are very numerous, dense, and have great friction.
