Q: What kind of wood is used? Is there any glue?

Don’t know what type of wood, but the set is strongly made. I have had this set for at least a year, hasn’t broken. My grandson is three +. The items are not glued together. The castanets.are two pieces each of solid wood, with a tension string. The xylophone pieces are strongly riveted to the wood. It’s not press board, plywood, nor plastic. The quality is very good.
