I purchased this kit a few months ago to teach children during the pandemic. The kit contained such nice quality fossils and was a decent cost for what all was included: Lots of specimens! The children really enjoyed learning! I just ordered two more kits, one for teaching another group of children, and one to give away to a K-2 teacher. Looking into the kit, I was initially disappointed when I didn't see a Green River Formation fish. This morning I moved the beautiful Ammonite that was carefully placed in a separate smaller box, and there was the fish!!! Each specimen contains an information card with pictures of good quality. My disappointment: There is absolutely NO discussion about opposing views to evolution. I am expected to believe that some animals lived 200 billion years ago and some 400 million years ago? IF that is based on believing (that what we know about) things on earth today were about the same as 200 billion years ago, science (or otherwise) may be taking us 'down the rabbit hole'. That aside, I can't say enough about the excellent quality of this kit!

This is a really great fossil selection of 20 pretty high-quality fossils that are individually wrapped with a description of the specimen. For instance, I got a pretty large trilobite with a nice description of what a trilobite is. There is a really beautiful coprolite that showed a picture of a turtle pooping out a poop like fossil ( A fossilized poop is called a copralute ) and the fossil really does look like poop. I bought these as an adult for other adults in my workplace as an introduction to Geoscience. I was not at all embarrassed to give these out -they were interesting and high-quality. I bought two boxes and I would buy them again if I wanted to turn somebody on to fossils. You literally can split these up into 20 small gifts.

I don't normally leave reviews, but Dancing Bear's fossil collection deserves one. The number, size, and quality of the specimens are impressive, especially for the price! It also comes with good educational material. What a great addition to my collection. Great for kids and adults alike!

This is perfect for anyone who wants to be a paleontologist or scientist when you’re older. A few of the fossils looked cracked but I understand that they’re really old so you can’t do much. The fossilized feces broke a little but it’s not a problem since poop tends to fall apart easily especially as a fossil. The mosasaurus tooth I got was smaller than I thought it would be but it’s better than nothing and I have another one. Perfect for a science class, collecting, decoration, or a small museum in your home or anywhere. I suggest keeping the collection away from children, babies, toddlers, or anyone who might ruin it and putting it somewhere safe unless that person can be trusted since these fossils are millions of years old and can break easily.

Based on the reviews, it looks like everyone else has been happy with this product, but I am so pleased with it that I wanted to throw in my 2 cents worth. All the fossils arrived in good condition. The ammonite and the trilobite are particularly impressive, far larger than I expected and high quality. This is a Christmas gift for my daughter, who loves fossils and rocks. I can't wait until she opens this. This isn't a kid's toy, these are nice fossils, some of them very nice, which any fossil collector, even an adult, would enjoy. It's remarkable that you can get this much for the price.

I am overall happy with this purchase. A couple of the fossils weren’t in the greatest shape. For example the sand dollar isn’t really recognizable and is pretty banged up so that was a bit of a bummer but overall they are in good condition and then there are a couple exceptional pieces. I bought this kit to use with my kiddos in some homeschool activities and they were beyond thrilled. The little magnifying glass that comes with it is super tiny so I’ll be ordering a couple larger ones for my kids to use with these fossils. I really like the identification cards and books that came with the fossils as well. They have info on each one which my kids loved reading. I would definitely recommend this to a friend. For the price you can’t beat it.

I was very impressed with this beautiful set of fossils! I plan to gift them to my young grandsons for Christmas. I think they will be thrilled. The selection is wonderful and packaged quite nicely with information cards and even a chart of the prehistoric periods from which the fossils came. I've bought from this company before and they do a great job! Thank you!

These are absolutely beautiful. I bought these for my nephew (5 years old). I think since he’s younger this was a better set with more “wow” factor than the bigger cheaper set with smaller specimens. Everyone was VERY impressed with this set and my 16 year old sister kept one specimen for herself! Everything arrived in a box with separate packets and their info cards. A few of the bigger pieces came in their own box. There’s also a timeline chart and a booklet in case you lose any cards. My sister will be laminating the cards so they don’t get worn down. I put everything together in a bin with kinetic sand so my nephew can “dig” for the fossils.

My kids absolutely love this collection of fossils. The quality is fantastic. The description cards are informative and interesting. The fossils are a good size. This is something I would definitely recommend for a science curious child or for classroom use for teachers.

I was apprehensive about this set due to some of the reviews, but I was more than pleased with what came!! All of the specimens seem to be of great quality, packaged individually with identification cards explaining each one. The sizing for a lot of them exceeded my expectations. Yes, some are more exciting than others, but if I were to go purchase all of these individually from my local collector store, I would spend far more than I did. My son will be over the moon with these, and he is an avid collector. Thank you so much!

I am really pleased with my purchase. The fossils look excellent.

I wasn't expecting to get more than one fossil in one bag but there were three gastropods in one bag so that was kind of cool. However, the fish that they package in a box to provide extra protection got broken anyway :(

I am in elementary education and this is perfect for the classroom! I will be using this for a learning centre on fossils and I could not be happier with the outcome of the product!
