Dollee Nasi Lemak Sambal Paste, 200 g

I’ve been looking for Malaysian sambal since I moved back to the U.S. and I have to say this actually hits the mark. Tastes just like sambal you would get from the side stands. The price is just a little more than I would like for the amount but I’d say it’s worth it. If this goes down to around $8 I would have no quarrel. Still 5 stars from me!

Close to the sambal from Malaysia and Singapore. I personally like it. It brings memories from the past with Nasi Lemak cuisine. A bit pricey for my taste. If only the cost would be reasonable unless you buy them in bulk. Expensive but good.

The lid was open up on arrival and the content had bleeded out. Because it was not air tight, had to toss it away unfortunately.

Bought this as I missed Singapore street food ... One jar lasted me less than a week ... It’s little spicy, sweet, salty at the same time .. works great with my egg ham omelette ... Wish it comes in larger size !!

Been craving for nasi lemak from Malaysia so I gave this a try with much hope to reawaken my taste buds as if I was back in KL. As soon as I got this sambal I immediately fried anchovies and mixed it in with the sambal. Disappointing to say the least; it was mostly sweet although there was some flavor but just mostly sugar.

The sambal is pretty legit and its almost as good as the sambal back at home. ( I am Malaysian) It was a little spicy for my taste buds but that is easily fixed. Packaging could use extra protection but overall product is delicious. Will definitely purchase more in the future.

I lived overseas for 25 years and got familiar with many recipes that requires some ingredients that I cannot get at the grocery store. This being one of them. Yum.
