Ice Pack Gold.
I have a bad case of tennis elbow and was advised to ice my elbow 4 times a day for 15 minutes. In the past when needing an ice pack, I have used everying from wrapping ice in a washcloth to putting ice in a ziplock. Someone even loaned one of old fashion type that was a waterproof bag with a lid. With those your ice pack was good for as long as your ice melted. Then you had a wet washcloth or a leaky ziplock that got you wet or with the waterproof bag a bag of cool water. Then came the gel packs. They work well for less than 10 minutes. Alot of the other elbow packs are designed with gel packs but alot reviewers complained about them not staying cold long enough. Then I saw the piguin fingers and read the reviews. The product seed to check all the bodes. It stays cold for atleast 20 minutes (some say almost to cold). It is comfortable and easy to use. After I received mine and tried it out it definitely met my expectations. The product does get to cold for the bare skin. You WILL want to use a liner. A long sleep boat shirt works great or a tube soek with the toe cut out.Have used the ice pack for a few days. Still give it a five star. Reason for this update is that I originnaly gave the product a 4 star on pain relief. I now give it a 5 star. In my pevious eeview I gave a couple of suggestions to use a liner. I tried a long sleeve boat shirt and also a tube sock. The best solution I have is to cut a sleep off of a thermal underware top. Put the sleep on then the ice pack. Take each end of the sleep and fold it back over the top. This will allow you to keep the ice pack on longer but still have cold enough to alleviate the pain. I have already recommened this product to a couple of friends. Definitely worth the price.

Perfect remedy for pain relief
I have tried so many products in Amazon. I have severe tennis elbow and nothing brings relief like this product. It’s very comfortable. Takes no time to get cold and stays cold fir a good while. I may buy another one to swap out while the other is in the freezer. I have not tried heating yet because this cold sleeve is finally bringing relief to my elbow.

Doesn’t stay cold very long.
Bought this for my son after he tripped and fell on his elbow. Hairline fracture. He liked the support but said the ice pack only lasted 5-10 minutes.

Doesn’t retain heat for more than 3 min
I have a cubital tunnel syndrome on my left elbow, which requires warm compression for relief. I microwaved the sleeve for 40 sec total (30 first then 10 more after); however, the heat lasted for only 3 min. No matter what I do the sleeve does not retain the heat. It’s super comfortable though.I haven’t used it for cold compression yet; however, I’m sure it would work once the gel freezes.Hence the 3 stars.*** UPDATED. I have to update my review from 3 to 5 stars simply because the sleeve is so comfortable and it actually has improved my life by protecting my elbow from hard surfaces. I wear it all the time and I absolutely love it!! I just don’t care if it keeps the heat or not at this point.

Convenient But Needs a Liner
In the midst of a bad flare-up of "tennis elbow" I was searching for a more convenient icing method and found this which looked like just the thing. While it IS much more convenient than an ice bag, I have two issues with it. The first is that while I understand with a one-size-fits-all product it has to be large enough to fit everyone as well as the larger body parts it says you could use it on besides your elbow, the result is it's looser than I'd like on my arm. At widest point, my elbow laying flat is 9.5" around. This sleeve is loose enough that if I was involved in an activity rather than just sitting with my arm stretched out resting on the table, it would slide down. It's definitely not offering any compression. The second issue is that it is way too cold on my bare skin. Painfully cold. I ended up cutting the toe end off a cotton sock and use that as a liner if I don't feel like putting a long-sleeve shirt on first instead. I like how convenient this is and that it stays soft and flexible when frozen, but it really needs a liner to protect the skin from the extreme temp, and needs to come in some size choices for a better fit for smaller arms.

This hits the spot
I have tennis elbow, although I don’t play tennis. It’s my right arm, and I’m right handed, so I need to use my arm. When my elbow hurts, that makes the day a very painful 24 hours. With this elbow sleeve, I can either heat it or cool it for almost instant pain relief. It holds temperature much longer than anything else I’ve tried. It feels so good now, I started to play tennis. But that aggravates the elbow more. Good thing I have the Penguin Fingers elbow sleeve!! I think I’m just getting too old. I love the head thing and the knee sleeve as well. Hopefully they will come out with something for my back as well… I think that is going to go next.Whoever is behind this Penguin Finger technology is a genius.

Nice flexible sleeve
This product remains very flexible when frozen and is tight enough to stay in place (i used it on my elbow). The drawback is that the entire sleeve is freezing cold when I just needed to target my tennis elbow and there is minor irritation along the seam. I gave it 5 stars because it's not the product's fault that I didn't want my arm frozen all the way around.
