I have a 9ft pool.and brought this item and i have no idea what i am doing. Can someone please advise me? I have no test strips is this essential?

Hi there, you do need test strips because that way you can keep a check of your chemicals. You also need chlorine tablets to keep your water germ free. The Ph balance is if the Ph balance is low you can raise it, and if the alkaline balance is to low use bicarbonate of soda and that will bring it up. I generally have 2 chlorine tablets in all the time except when we are in the pool, and mix 1/2 pint of water with 4 dessert spoons of Ph balance as needed, the same with the bicarb. But that is why you really need the test strips because all the levels you need are on the side of the container in colour and you match a strip to the colours. Once you get the strips it’s quite easy. I hope this helps you. Enjoy your pool. Lindy

Hot tub advice. From tap zero on everything, stabilising alkalinity eventubut but ph sta low. New fill after giving up on last. What am i doing wrong?

Concentrate on shocking the tub when filling from scratch which means add 3tbsp of chlorine and leave 24hrs then take dip sample but I rarely use anything apart from the chlorine nowadays and never had any problems
