Classy
Beautiful to own and beautiful to use. I have a few of these now, the blade is heavy down to a super fine edge, without the last minute taper, the whole blade tapers to the edge. The first one I bought made most of my other knives look silly so I’m gradually swapping out the key ones for these.Really classy.

Interesting knife
I have a growing collection of knives, while these Opinel knives are nothing exotic they are different plus really nice to use. Fairly sharp out of the eco friendly cardboard packaging, and sharpen up well. I have a couple now and the quality /fit of the handles is a bit hit and miss but I still really like this cross over knife.

oo-la-laa
The media could not be loaded. I love a bit of Opinel, particularly their smaller utility and folding outdoor knives. This is a leap into the very saturated world of cookware. One the face of it, it’s is all things Opinel - sharp, as all new knives should be and a lovely tactile wood handle. The blade and tang are of a good thickness offering strength and rigidity. Personally I find the grip a little chunky and angular and the blade due to its depth can feel a little sticky when quick slicing. In the world of cookware you really do get what you pay for so for thirty-ish quid it’s about there. Is it living off its name and more form over function? Maybe. But I like it and it brings a certain je ne sais pas to the kitchen.

Nice knife
I purchased this like two years ago. The handle has taken as beating as it gets put in the dishwasher buts it’s still sound. The blade is fine, keeps an edge, doesn’t rust or stain when put through the dishwasher. Great all purpose kitchen knife for a reasonable price.
