A good buy.
Initial impressions of this tool are not good. It's very lightweight and feels cheap and flimsy in the hand. However, once you start using it, any misgivings are quickly put away. The wire stripper works very well. i tried it on a variety of wires and cables of different sizes from tiny multi strand wire to 2.5mm single strand wire, and it worked perfectly every time. I saw no evidence of damaged copper, the insulation came away easily and cleanly. The tool is not cheap, but will save you much time and effort. It also means your work will be more professional and - because you will not have knicked and damaged the copper - your work will be easier to assemble and more reliable in use.I suggest you get one immediately.

Expensive but very good!
I have had many of these types of cutters over the last 20 years, and this is working really well for me right now. Nice and sharp with a clean strip - no damage of internal strands experienced. I always set it to the lightest setting, then slowly increase until it works perfectly. Expensive for what it is, but it works really well which counts when you have a lot of repetitive cabling to do! Recommended.

Practical, but worth the price tag..?
Great stripper, works well on a variety of cable. The build quality isn’t amazing, especially for the extortionate price, I find that the cut length guide pops off if you’re not really careful when moving it.

A must have for anyone regularly stripping cables
I was skeptical when buying these as I had heard several things about them being a must have for stripping cable/wires and saving your hands.Well I'm pleased to say the reports are absolutely true and after wiring up my speakers I will absolutely not work without them.It saves my hands having to manually strip cables, it gets the length just write and reduces the amount of time I need to faff around with cables. They are super easy to use and have saved my hands from cramp. Would strongly recommend for anyone regularly stripping cables

Nicely Made
I'm a big believer in you get what you pay for. I bought these to replace something similar I'd owned for 25 years, cost twice what these did and had lost! I was looking for quality and happy to pay and considering theserwere cheaper than my old pair was concerened they'd be as good, I needn't have worried, these have worked perfectly and effortlessly and I'm really pleased with them. Hopefully they'll strip as many thousands of cables that my previous pair did.

A quality piece of kit.
Expensive, but I got sick of the other tools. This seems to be the answer (for me) as a hobbyist.

Broke after 7 months.
I thought it was a very good tool to begin with but it gradually struggled more and more to strip before it gave out after 7 months. The trouble is the top blade is stuck into plastic and it worked its way loose. I'm going to have a look round to find if there's something a bit sturdier on the market.
