1st of all, it should be an Olympic sport getting these things on. I was out of breath & questioning my life's choices by the time it was all said & done. That being said, I am 40 years old, 5'4 & about 210 lbs. I'm a solid size 16. I purchased the XL size in black. It fits as expected. It's supposed to be tight people, to hold all the fat in. That's the whole point. I bought it because i have recently gained quite a bit of weight due to health issues & well just life tbh. And most of my clothes either don't fit or are super tight & show my brand new super sexy belly bulge. After buying 4 other ones in different styles & sizes that didn't fit I came across this one as a last cry for help. Finally found a winner! Although I likely to have died getting it on! No joke. I was prepared to meet my Maker. Anyway today as I write this I'm wearing a top I haven't been able to wear in awhile as it made me look 5 months pregnant. This holds everything in & smooths you out beautifully. My one & only negative comment is it's a slip, not a romper. Meaning it's very long. Or I'm just short. It comes down to about mid thigh on me. So it's not great for wearing w jeans as it goes past your who ha. But I don't own any skirts or dresses & so I'm just making it work as I love it & don't want to return this one. Might be good w leggings as the weather gets cooler. I also don't understand the hook & eye situation around the who ha. Not necessary. I don't even have mine hooked. Other than that it's great & I highly recommend! Oh and it also helps w the pesky back fat some of us are blessed with. This saved me from having to go out & buy a bunch of new clothes at the moment.

Purchased this with mixed reviews as I read that some people have issues with it ridding up, or being too small. Well, the number one mistake with shapewear - is people buying too small of a size. The smaller it is .. the more it will roll up and not smooth you, but actually make you look bigger ... the chunks, bulges, ripples, whatever you want to call them, have to go somewhere after all. Buy the correct size for yourself and you will NOT have an issue with this one. I am 5'5 and my issue is my lower abdomen after giving birth c-section - for some type of reference to someone else looking to smooth that area. LOVE love love love this shape wear. I buy a lot of them, my husband and I are always going to events - this is by far the most comfortable and smoothing shapewear I have ever purchased - including from Spanx. I do not have a line where the panty sits, I do not have issue with it rolling, I do not have issues with unhooking the "lady bit" part, to use the restroom. Buy the correct size and you will NOT have any issues with this one :) Good luck ladies- dont be scared to buy this one!!!!!

Tended to ride up throughout the night when worn under formal dress:(Seemed to smooth bra lines, but will try something else for the next event.

As much as I've enjoyed chuckling through the majority of these reviews describing epic elastene battles, I didn't personally have any problems! I'm 5'7, 165lbs, hourglass shaped, wearing 10/12 in dresses and ordered a large. I'm not looking to carve out a whole new figure, just give a smoothing effect under my one shouldered, Grecian style wedding dress. Finding what to wear under that has been tricky, but this is just what I was looking for. It doesn't suffocate me and I can say it's pretty comfortable. It just provides a sleeker and firmer appearance, making my dress hang the way I wanted it to. I can't speak to how many "inches" it removed, but as I'm more concerned about the end visual result I'd say this purchase was a win.I walked all around, sat up and down and did the bend and snap to test whether the skirt part would go rogue on me. As long as you aren't taking extremely looong strides or doing jumping jacks, it will stay put! I believe a lot of issues with this product have stemmed from simply ordering a size too small. Sure, a smaller size would "compress" more. But then as the rest of it won't fit properly the hem would create a line at the thighs and eventually roll up and the upper portion would dig into your back in unflattering ways. Just order closest to your true size (not the size you want it to transform you into, lol) and you will be rocking your curves in this!

I am confused by this product. I generally wear a size 14 and according to the other reviews, I thought an XL would be fine. According to the measurements and holding the actual item in front of me it seems that the waist would fit my waist just fine, the hip part would stretch to fit my hips, etc. However, there are no clips, snaps, or zipper to get this item on or off. Instead you need to pull the items over your head and shoulders or step into it and pull it above your hips. The small part of this garment (the waist cincher) doesn't fit over my shoulders or my hips, as I wouldn't expect it to, but there is no other way to get this on. What I find confusing is it seems that any item that WOULD fit over my shoulders or hips would be way too baggy on my waist and therefor be useless... This product is flawed. I'm sending mine back and would recommend anyone shopping to buy a different one.

I've bought 7 different shapewear looking for the right fit and this one nailed it! Finally! Someone made it with seamless panties so it doesn't cut my butt cheeks in half or show panty lines. Perfect for all my little short tight dresses. I love it because you can cross cross the straps to hide straps better (which actually pushed my boobs up and closer together too. Win-win!) Ive also tried putting this on with the straps under my bra and it works perfect.Some of my bras were conflicting at the bottom of the cup- the shape was leaving a seem I could see through my dress- but this trick solved that problem. Very secure tension around the mid section but comfortable enough to wear all day. Also it comes up to the bra line nicely in the back so everything is nice and smooth back there. I will be be buying this product again.
