BUY MORE THAN YOU THINK YOU NEED
We have spent much of our cover-19 lockdown time in the garden and have put down new pea gravel on our vegetable patch walkways and lifted the old chippings and weed blanket. Having caught edges of weed blanket in the past with the rake, we wanted to make sure that the new blanket stayed securely pegged . We have, in the past used a plastic peg and had much frustration in snapping many of them in our hard clay and rocky soil. The Garden Prime pegs we have tried have been fantastic. Their sharpened ends easily pierce the weed blankets (even multiple layers of the stuff) and are robust enough to be tapped into the ground. In order to prevent lifting or edges being caught with a rake, we have been generous with the pinning and soon ran out of the initial 100 pins we ordered, thankfully the second batch we ordered arrived quickly and we have now been able to complete the project. Amazingly apart from bending 3-4 of the pins (which can be reused after straightening) all of the pins have managed to find their way into the ground where they are holding in solidly, none have broken or snapped We have been very impressed with the product and swift delivery. My only advice would be to err on the side of caution and order more than you think you might initially need... you only want to do this job once, so do it right the first time. Happy gardening.

These do exactly what it says on the tin! ...
These do exactly what it says on the tin! I had previously bought smaller packets of similar 6" pegs from Wilkinson's, but the ones from GardenPrime were slightly cheaper and I could buy in larger quantities. They are slightly thinner/lighter, but have sharpened ends which allows them to be pushed into the hardest soil quite effortlessly. I was so impressed I have bought a 2nd box of 50.

Does what is says on the tin - mostly
Good price and good delivery in circumstances. Now using pegs and only issue for us is they are not too strong. We are recovering a bed with new membrane and wanted pegs to keep this in place. Bed not redug as such and soil quite hard so pegs bent sometimes when placing them. Just had to reposition pegs to find suitable soil. If your bed is freshly dug it would not be an issue at all. No issue recommending item.

Easy to use
I bought for fastening down ground cover sheets. The sharp points made them easy to get into the ground - far easier than the plastic pegs I have used in the past. They do seem to start rusting after a few days, but they are covered by gravel, which in its turn weighs down the ground cover, so they are fine for their intended use. I will use this brand again in the future as they were a very good price.

A life-saver!
These pegs are brilliant! I initially bought them to use for securing weed-prevention membrane, since the plastic pegs provided have spikes on their shaft, which are impossible to reposition and sometimes too thick to penetrate turf or heavy soil. Not these - they easily go through 2 layers of membrane and if you do get the odd kink and need to reposition the matting, just pull them out and start again. They are also a decent length, so are unlikely to be dislodged and I have therefore used them to further secure my large garden cloche to the ground and give it extra stability. I wish I had found these when I was laying copious lengths membrane in my garden during the Spring!

Good, but messy, and only 83 in the box.
They were easy enough to in and look like they'll do the job nicely, and they're pretty robust - only about 6 of the pegs I put in buckled (there are bits of flint in our soil so I suspect they just hit those). However, I didn't realise until I was running out of pegs that I was 23 short - given I had to throw six away, that means there can only have been 83 in the box. The black coating is also very messy - I'd really recommend wearing gloves when putting these in.

Sturdy and unobtrusive
These are heavy-duty garden pegs.....usually used to anchor membranes over vegetable patches. However, I use them to anchor power cables and the associated yellow warning strips underground. (The power cables must be armoured if they are underground and at risk of being hit by a shovel). Being black, the pegs they don't show up against the earth and they are usually sturdy enough to penetrate even the hardest soil. With stones we have found that feeding them in by hand to "wriggle" into a smooth path is best, then hitting with a hammer usually ensures success. Should they hit a stone and bend they can usually be straightened and reused. All-in-all, a very good product at a good price.

Great pegs, easy to use yet sturdy. Very pleased!
Great pegs. Much sturdier than similar ones I bought before, and the pointy ends make them easy to push into the ground. I also like the fact that they are dark grey and not too shiny so they don’t stand out in the garden. Ideal for pinning down weed suppressant matting, securing the rotary washing line, strawberry runners, etc. Lots of uses, easy to use, very pleased.

GUTE WARE - GUTER PREIS!
