Easy to fit
I have purchased these to replace broken valves of the same make but older versions. These are simple to install, look decent and are a good price.

Superb replacement
Bought 2 more as I liked the first so much!Single pin underneath. The 2 in '2 TVR' refers to a 'click' position in the middle of the dial for comfort. Other than that it's a standard range and will work like a standard thermometer replacement on your radiator. A lot easier to turn than those type that sit inside a shell. This works perfectly.Just make sure your own radiator value pin is moving up and down. If it is stuck, jiggle it with pliers to loosen it and spray a little drop of WD 40. Only moves about 2mm anyway. This valve is fully 'on' when pin is 'up' in its natural position. So fit the value with it turned to it's highest heat setting, to make it easier to fit.Ordered in the evening and arrived next day - super fast.

May not be compatible with older type
I bought this TRV head to replace a similar one - shown at left in my photos - one of several fitted in 1999 to radiators in our CH system. The replacement is shown at right in the pictures. The original developed a common fault that left a pin in the head permanently out, so the rad was always off.I picked a replacement valve head that looked very similar, but it didn't work! If I turned it right down, the rad was still fully on.I queried this with Myson, asking if the new valve head was incompatible with their older TRV systems, but was told the new one was faulty, as the silver collar at the base wasn't deep enough, so they supplied a replacement. That new replacement works fine. In appearance it's almost identical to the one at left - deep collar and a black base. However, if you do have a new head with shallow collar and an original failed unit, it is possible to replace the collar on the new head, so that the new head will work:- remove the collar from the failed unit by cutting through the plastic holder above the collar with a junior hacksaw- carefully cut through the (shallow) collar of the new unit, remove it and bin it. First though, cover up the holes at the base with some low tack tape, to stop filings from entering the head.- push the old collar onto the base of the new TRV head. That's it - ready for use.So, be warned if you order one of these - the variant with shallow collar may not work, unless you perform some DIY on it!

Perfect replacement for British Gas heads
These were a perfect fit to replace one of our old British Gas units that had bust. A radiator was permanently off regardless of how the head was turned. Unscrewing the head I could see the plunger was no longer moving up and down when turned. Some downward effort was required to attach the new unit, pressing the valve pin in enough for the screw thread to engage but once attached, the radiator started working again! (It was actually the next radiator in the loop that was having the problem, from the previous one in the loop's broken head.)

Saved my radiator
Had some specialists come in quoting me 6k to replace my “broken” radiator.Bought one of these - turns out it was just an old valve issue, fixed my radiator and saved 6k.
