This win I’ll kit was fun to put together and when the wind is blowing the rainbow string lights make our garden fence look so cute. If you want a fun project with your kid or you want to learn more about how to generate electricity from wind power, this kit is for you.

My 17-yr old and I really enjoyed putting this together. The package contains more than we expected. Ours included a test bulb (not just the string lights) and a temporary PVC mount that was sturdy enough to stand up the windmill and blow a Dewalt shop fan on it for a successful test. Easy to assemble. Great instructions, perfect fit, even a spare nut, bolt, and blade. Bonus screwdriver and wrench included in ours. And it works!

This is a great little wind turbine. We installed it in our backyard and attached the lights to our shed and it worked wonderfully. Unfortunately we received some high winds around 70 m.p.h. one day and it came off of the pole we had it attached to and hit the ground hard, breaking two of the blades. I sent a note to the seller asking if I could purchase some blades and they sent me a complete set for free. Very nice people to work with. I would purchase this again.

The windmill is kind of easy to assemble. Looks nice and works good at the end.It comes with spare parts and a testing LED bulb. it doesn’t take a lot of wind to turn.

So many fun after purchased this DIY wind turbine generator, great S.T.E.M gift for kids and unique backyard decoration. Easy to put all the parts together, my 4 years old can help and learn from it. Also have potential to add on your own idea, I added the snow flake LED light myself to welcome the first measurable snow on 2023. I connected two more led light strings to the wind turbine generator, it still work as usual, super cool watching all strings light up at the same time at windy days. Buy one more set half year later. Very high quality product, spinning very smoothly even in the breeze, and stay strong in high wind. Pretty led light strips light up at night, enjoy watching it day and night outside my windows.

Wind turbine seems to be well made/touch. My son had no problem putting it together on his own. Primarily used indoors for a middle school engineering project. Worked very well for this. Voltage output goes up to 13V or so. Three phase motor output so that bridge rectifier has less variation than a simple rectifier. Output power was around 0.25W at 5V (with just a few tens of mA of load current, the voltage drops to a few volts). Connected bridge rectifier output to SparkFun Buck-Boost Converter COM-15208 and then to LiPower - Boost Converter PRT-10255 (used 4.7V zenir diode at input as OVP). Both circuits could power "Dual USB Output Super Slim Power Bank Ultra Thin, Attom Tech 3000mAh Portable Charger Mini External Phone Battery Pack Small Dual Outlet, Emergency Phone Power Backup."

One of the few wind turbines on the market that actually does what is in the description! The people that created this did an excellent job and I would highly recommend this product as a fun teaching experience for kids and adults, and it looks great!! Their customer service is also very good!!

I found this mini wind turbine very easy to put together. I still have the temporary base on it as I'm planning to move it around to test how much wind it gets in different locations, but I've anchored it down with weights over it. I've found myself just watching it to see when it catches wind and the lights come on, like it's my own personal entertainment center. I've been considering seeing how well attaching a small battery to it would go, though that would defeat the purpose of using the brightness of the lights to estimate wind speed. Perhaps once I've put it in a permanent location and I'm not using it for testing anything I'll do that.

Absolutely brilliant we own a donkey sanctuary and recently took a dead tree out and left the trunk about 20 feet long I’ve put it on the top it works great the kids who visit keep looking at it and when it’s dark I lights up perfect. If I could afford to buy loads more of them I would not hesitate.

Fun project for kids

Bought as a bit of fun for the kids area of the garden. Mounted temporarily on a wooden batton but has been there for about a year. We are in quite a windy area so the lights come on quite a bit. Next thing is to add a battery and control unit so the lights stay on consistently!

Well equipped kit arrived in good order & assembly was straightforward w/ good instructions & even included tools. Quality seems good for the price. Mounted on a 6 ft high plant trellis w/ the included mounting bracket. Ran the included low voltage LED light string along a fence line. Specs say it will operate the LED light w/ a 2m/sec breeze (4.5 mph) but in a 10-12 mph breeze it would barely generate 2 volts. Double checked all wiring and connections, they were ok. Had to be really quite windy to generate enough voltage to light up the LED strip lights and then only momentarily in a strong wind gust. Both the LED light string and included LED test bulb lit up brightly when I plugged it in to a 5v cell phone charger f/ a wall socket. Disassembled & returned the item.

The LED light set quit working almost immediately after receiving. Everything else seems good. Tried to contact the seller and no reply.
