This one works! Years ago I bought a UV light to detect pet stains. It didn't work at all. This time I decided to read up on UV blacklights before purchasing and discovered there are two variations: 365nm and 395nm. The 395nm is more common, less expensive, and less powerful. I assume that is what I had years ago. This time I chose this 365nm model. Works great! Boy! What I found on the carpet and walls! Some spots are definitely dog pee but the others? No idea. Now I am so curious!

I initially purchased a different brand with 395 nm but it didn’t work, so I purchased this item instead and it is amazing. Pet stains, both new and old, light up clearly. Along with dust, dirt, and splatters. I was not prepared mentally when using this. I keep my house clean but this seriously made me nauseous to know how much filth can’t be seen with the naked eye. I literally want to live in a bubble now. The base is easy to hold although it does get hot after about 10 minutes. It comes with batteries and you can adjust the light range. The light made my eyes sensitive. It’s recommended to get UV safety goggles which I would recommend. There were a couple of times when the light reflected off of non-reflective surfaces and I quickly had to look away because it hurt my eyes. If you’re looking for a high quality effective black light, this is it.

For the price of $20+ I had expected this unit to outshine my last UV purchased flashlights(the Darkbeam x2 pack which was less for 2 than this flashlight cost) Well after running a side by side comparison the Vansky matched the much smaller Darkbeam in light throw and distance. They both reached the end of my hallway and lit up everything like a beacon at 35 feet. Both coverage is roughly 3-4 feet diameter at 8 feet away. The only positive I see from the Vansky is unlike the darkbeam which had to be switched of after 4-5 minutes of use to allow it to cool down, the Vansky remained cool to the touch. So based on all the reviews here I will invest in a 12 pack of rechargeable AAA batteries as I use this for rock hunting in stream beds. If anyone buys the UVBeast V3 or Convoy C8 and currently has this Vansky model, please write a review

I got this for rock hunting and to help identify rock. It’s powerful and I like it has the filter on it so it’s not a purple light everywhere you look. If there’s nothing for it to react it you see nothing. I do have eye protection still if I’m going to use it for more than a couple mins like down on the beach. I’ve used it to help ID rubies and sapphires etc. and also just to see what polished rocks I have that might light up. It’s on the larger side which I like, comes with a wrist strap. Takes 6 aaa battery’s in those little 3battery holders. It lasts quite a while as I’ve used it for maybe 2hrs and I haven’t had to change the batteries yet. I Love this light. I had a couple others before this one that were smaller and no filter and this is the best one. Other ones without the filter do make it hard to ID certain rocks as it will make them appear purple no matter what and that’s not what I need. With this one the rock is rather black or it gives off different colours depending on the rock.

Alter Schwede, das ist ja mal ein UV Scheinwerfer für die Hand. Achtung, nicht ohne Brille benutzen. Ein Großteil des Lichtes ist unsichtbar. Dennoch zeigen einem die Augen, wie intensiv der Schwarzlichtscheinwerfer leuchtet. Gekauft, um beim Klimakompressor im Auto, die Kontrastflüssigkeit zu entdecken. Hat super funktioniert. Auch das Entdecken von anderen Flüssigkeiten im Hause ist schon recht aufregend 🤣 Fazit, es macht was es soll, und das sehr, sehr intensiv. Kann es ohne Vorbehalt empfehlen.
