Hello, I have a broken switch in my maglite, does this remove the need for a new switch?

Hello, this kit is for the 2AA small Maglite which does not have a switch; the bulb/lens assembly is turned to complete the circuit. If your Maglite has the black button on the barrel ( C or D cell) then this kit won't fit.
