Mozzy wristbands
These wristbands really work. I found them on a 'which' website as a natural bug repellant that is proven to work. Theyre impregnated with some natural repellant, which is great, but once they are exposed to the air it only works for 4-5 days. After a few days of mozzy bite free existence (which was nice!) I applied a few drops of citronella oil to the wristbands, which also worked nicely! So yes they are great, and when they run out, they can still be used!

First time in Greece without mozzie bites
Used these as part of a strategy - including taking Vitamin B1 and a plug in repeller for nights - with impressive results - only one bite on my back from walking without a shirt in the evening. We've been going to Greece for decades and usually come back with dozens of itchy spots. There was plenty of evidence of bites on the legs and arms of people on the beach so the mozzies are still there. If the bands break you can pull the clasp apart and re-fasten them. A well made and effective product.

Repells well but too small
We travelled to Cambodia and Thailand and I took a set for myself and one for my boyfriend. We are both perfectly normally built average size people but we both found the guards too small. For him to use the ankle guards was completely out of question, he could not even put them on his ankles and the wrist guards were cutting in his wrists, they very very uncomfortable, so he took them off after an hour and sprayed himself with good old locally purchased repellent. I wore both the wrist and ankle guards, however the ankle ones were quite small for me as well and thus a bit uncomfortable to wear throughout the whole evening, it felt soooo goood to take them off after a night out (did not wear them during the day as did not want to have a stripy tan on my wrists and ankles :-) and tere were not many mozzies during the day anyway). The wrist ones were fine for me and overall the repellent efficiency of the product is very good, did not get any bites whilst wearing them, so if you have a thin bone structure (Asian type) then it is a good choice. Otherwise I suggest the producer to rethink the sizes and maybe introduce a choice of different sizes.

Not brilliant
Did the trick- no mosquito bites in an endemic area in S.Africa.Were quite pungent and unfortunately I had to throw 2 of the bands away. If you stretch them too much to go over your shoes the band breaks and it's impossible to thread it through the buckle once this happens.

Dont go away wothout these bands
These bands are the best defence against insect bites that I have found.Bugs know when I get off the plane and make a b line for me from the start of my holiday.I use all 4 in the pack wearing them on my wrists and ankles when I go out in the evenings I also wear them at the airports and on coaches.I buy the flesh coloured bands so they are not obvious and I remove the platic clip and sew them to fit so that they are more comfortable to wear. Before I found these I spent many miserable nights on holiday being eaten by the local bug population but these have contributed hugely to making my holidays more enjoyable.

Proved useful - occasionally
They're a bit smelly, but then I suppose that's the point, but we were never bothered by insects on the trip we bought them for, so hope they will last and I can use again on the next trip.Yes I would recommend.

travel bug guards
We wore these continually for 14 days in Malaysia as well as taking anti-malarial pills and using DEET sprays. Very easy to wear on wrist, look good and didn't get bites on my arms or upper body. Got two small bites on my legs after a body scrub at the Spa when I wasn't wearing any anti-malarial sprays or guards, otherwise believe these guards contributed to a reduction in insect bites. Used them 12 months ago on a similar trip to Malaysia, also successfully without bites.
