Men's Expedition Scout 40mm Leather Strap Watch

What can I say but simply this is an amazing classic field watch. It's got a bit of heft to it as well its not light, I like that. Very rebust feeling and the Indiglo feature is cool. The leather strap is great and long enough for my 8 inch wrist. It's looks amazing on wrist. I would love a Hamilton but this beauty will do me just fine. I do have a few other Timex Expedition watches but this one is my favourite with its even more classic field watch looks. They are all top class quality watches. Love Timex.

I love this watch - it has a really good heavy feel to it, and it feels like a much more expensive watch than it is. A decidedly different quality from the retail shop fashion watch I had bought - which cost £25 and lasted 2 months.I was worried this watch would look too large on my wrist (which is very small) but it doesn't; it looks the size of an average mans watch. The face is really clear, the cream colour has real depth, the matt black surround feels really substantial, and the matt black hands and numbers show up really clearly. The calendar lens with the date is quite small - I have to look carefully to see what it says. But the rest of it is so beautiful I will happily put up with that., The night light system is fantastic - I can even work out the time without my glasses on when I cannot see the numbers at all. The leather strap has an oiled leather look to it, and so far has proven to be very substantial, despite having been in the washing up water a few times. The strap is also malleable and very easy to wear. This is definitely not the Timex of my childhood, which had put me off them - I thought - forever. A really good buy, which has been commented on favourably many times,

I bought this watch with the intention of it being my main "beater" watch and TBH, its better than that. I have a small, modest collection and it sits in it proudly.The indiglow light is amazing, I've had no problems with the crown at all and the strap is one of the most comfortable I've worn, seriously. I have the black dial with the orange accented second hand and it really looks spot on. The second hand does miss the marker as it traverses around the dial which is a minor niggle, but, as other reviews have said this watch ticks loudly. Very loudly. I have 10 analogue watches both quartz and mechanical and the explorer wins hands down for the loudest watch i have. One point to note though, I don't hear it on the wrist unless I put it to my ear but once I've taken it off it's auidable.Overall its a fantastic watch and I love the indiglow, styling, strap and price but the volume of the second hand is definitely a consideration. Would l part with it now......no, I love it.

Timeless Timex. Pretty much since being taught to tell the time I've worn a Timex except for a few years in the 80's wearing a Casio databank, who didn't in those days.Clear easy to read watch even with my failing eyes and no readers the hands are very easily legible.Would I buy one again? Of course, value for money, durability and even able to see the time with its built in light without looking at your phone when you're bursting for your 3am pee. Old age comes to us all if we're lucky enough.

I've long been a fan of field watches and just collecting watches in general.What i like is their simple, clear and functional face that's easy to get the time in a quick glance.Generally speaking a field watch should be accurate, robust and water resistant enough that in can take whatever is thrown at it in the great outdoorsThis little gem from Timex is 'almost' perfect, just upping the 50 metres water resistant to 100 metres would have been very welcome, though not absolutely essential, just a shame.Although its quite light at 63 grams, it still feels fairly robust and the finish looks like it'll take a fair bit of abuse.Size is very small, up to most of my watches, though it has to be said that i think that 40mm sized watches seem to be that 'perfect' size, regardless of wrist size. I can't really describe why, but it just feels 'right', so comfortable and unobtrusive.The strap feels surprisingly good quality, which was definitely more than i expected at this price, the leather feels thick and durable.There are better spec'd options for less, I bought a similar lorus that has a stainless steel case (as opposed to this one being brass) and with 100 metres water resistance, yet somehow this Timex just feels so 'RIGHT' on the wrist and it looks more suited to the outdoors.I've had many Timex watches over the years and NONE have disappointed, this is without doubt one of my favourites from them.Accuracy is excellent (as expected), as it's a quartz movement, it'll ALWAYS be accurate and reliable, unlike an automatic watch, which aren't much use for everyday wear, why pay more for less functionalty, durability and accuracy?This is undoubtedly one of Timex best watches in its price range, the backlight is excellent and this is a truly fantastic 'taster' of a field watch in design and functionality.Update after a few months:Its taken me a long time to get round to writing this, but after around 5 months the battery died, so i bought a new battery thinking it would be a very easy job to do (like most watches) WRONG, the cover came off easy enough, BUT replacing it after the battery change was IMPOSSIBLE, it was so unbelievably tight fitting that the force needed to put it back on ended up smashing the mineral glass!!Timex clearly aren't what they used to be and this is undoubtedly the LAST timex I'll EVER BUY.There are VASTLY better quality watches from China that make this look like something that fell out of a Christmas cracker and for LESS money.NEVER AGAIN.

Smart easily read functional man’s watchI’m very pleased with mine

A nice watch, clear face easy to read, the supplied strap very good fits larger wrists no problem.Having owned a previous model some 5 years I love the backlight but the light has stopped working just 5 wks later.

The size of watch is perfect. It fits/sits quite nicely on wrist. It feels like an expensive watch. And it’s rugged so you can wear it to walks, hiking and during rough works. The dial looks amazing and the weight of watch is also quite adequate. It keeps time well (set and forget). Functionality wise, it’s a very good value of money!

Très belle montre pour le prix, le petit plus sur les modèles Timex (pas toutes là gammes) elles dispose d’un rétro éclairage du cadran le fameux indiglo génial de nuit voir photos.Le cuir et souple et à l’air de qualité le rendue et top.Effectivement la trotteuse fait un peut de bruit mais cela ne me gêne en rien.Pour moi le plus important une heures bien lisible avec en plus les chiffres en 24h, la date, la qualité, et son éclairages.J’attend de voir la durée dans le temps.

Perfecto para el precio que tiene. Desde que lo compré no me lo quito, aunque tengo varios relojes de mejores calidades. La combinación de colores de la cara, negra, y las agujas blancas con segundero naranja es súper legible y visualmente atractivo. El sistema indiglo de Timex perfecto para leer la hora sin nada de luz y la correa de buena calidad. Lo compré en oferta por poco más de 50 euros y por ese precio no sé puede pedir más.

Actual watch is looking far better than the given images. As Warranty not applicable in India for items sold by Amazon Export Sales LLC, let's hope that the watch will survive.Note: Note: Without warranty I paid only "Rs.3,238.53", With warranty the cost is almost double.
