Which way round do you use this is it end tips down towards the ground or up towards the guard

Tips down to the ground, this is what helps it mulch through brambles etc because it chews it up rather than just plain cutting. I've cleared about 2 acres with this in bits and pieces and it just eats through it

You would need to measure the arbor on your machine, the blade has a 1" bore or 25.4mm, which is a standard on brush cutters but there are other sizes 20mm, for instance, is fairly common. If your arbour is smaller you can fit a reducer in fact I think this blade comes with a 25.4mmx20mm reducer so you are probably o.k. unless your machine uses a weird size arbor. Measure it and check first.

Did anyone get the "clearing saw blade" with their order? the main product title says "mulching brushcutter and clearing saw blade". and picture of it

I've tried several versions of clearing saws blades. They merely slice the brush, where it falls in a pile. The mulching blade blasts the brush to smithereens and shreds it to small pieces. After that, the area is ready to mow. Yesterday, I even cut through a three inch diameter tree by swiping the curved portion of the blade a dozen times against it. The curved portion works like a power chisel and takes off bites each time.

Would this fit a sgs petrol strimmer? Model number sst260

Not sure. I was advised that the strimmer needs to be at least 40cc because the blade is quite heavy and needs sufficient power to cut through things such as brambles without ruining the machine.
