what is volt-free contacts means? Please explain because my central heating at the designated contacts for room thermostat I found 220v?

Volt free contacts are also called ‘dry contacts’ and it means there is no voltage produced at the connections. Think of it like a light switch, the power comes along one wire, and the switch transfers it to the other wire, if you don’t have the ‘live’ wire connected, then the switch doesn’t have power to pass on
