Nice, but the elves are a mess to be honest.
The large landscapes of the places of Middle Earth are lovely and well detailed. some of the charter's are also really nicely done but for a very few I didn't much care for the artist style. the elven faces were frankly awfully drawn in my opinion which was a shame really. but the illustration for Gandalf the grey and Boromir were very well drawn, I liked them very much, Allot of the creatures were good as well and were pretty faithful to the book's. It's the Elven and some of the human faces that let this book down for me, which is a shame because the costumes are lovely to colour.

The pictures in the book are great but any potential buyer should be aware that these are not official images. There are also a range of contributing artists so different pictures are done in significantly different styles.
