Fantastic
What a fantastic tool. Used it for too thing out brickwork. Hardly any mess and very little dust. Wish I had brought it years ago. Not as quick as a disc cutter but much easier at high level. Just make sure blade has stopped before removing from cut.

It's an Evolution, not a revolution.
I have been using Evolution tools for a significant number of years and that's for a reason. My experience started with a chopsaw, then a multi use petrol "Evo" engine with different accessories & then this, the Evolution 230v Rage 8 reciprocating saw. The saw is very easy to use with an easy to use tooless blade holder. Build quality is great with a durable high rpm motor ( for a saw like this). Plenty of heavy gauge 3 core cable allowing good range of movement. One point to note is that the cable is quality and remains flexible in the coldest uk days unlike some that become very stiff and dangerous. 3 blades came with the saw. 2 for various wood including green vegetation, 1 multi cut for plastic, metal etc. Has radial dial for blade speed control which ranges from 800 to 2400rpm. Nice and slow for gentle start off to rapid high speed for quick cutting. Has a good stroke range (1 1/16") and adjustable metal pivot plate angle. Comfy in use but these types of saw can be unweilding to the uninitiated user. They are not small by any means and do weigh quite a lot. The storage case is a great solution and should be something all tool manufacturers do, makes storing and transporting the tool very easy. Would I recommend this saw, without doubt. A good British manufacturer that is innovative in its approach. Good customer support and the user manual is informative and well laid out. I think this item is to be discontinued (why?) so if you want one be quick before they dissappear from stock. I'm very happy with mine and glad I finally got one. Has been used for more jobs than i thought it would.

Sturdy and built to last.
I bought this saw to cut firewood. It was used with long blades, up to 300 mm. It managed perfectly, the job took a few weeks, and that wasn't a problem for the saw at all. No overheating like my previous saws. I liked its lock button and swivel handle. I didn't like the labels, which weren't aligned perfectly, and placed in a hurry during assembly. But overall the value, performance, reliability and compactness speak for themselves. I would buy again as the features and properties it offers are more important than cosmetic imperfections. It's just a garden tool after all.

Works well
It's my second machine I abused the first one, it did so much work, fences, roots, big trees and any other wood which needed cutting, it had to fail

However it says to replace the blades with more evolution blades (of course they would) but don't I have found that Irwin blades
the saw its self is what to be expected for the price and that it is corded, it does the job. However it says to replace the blades with more evolution blades (of course they would) but don't I have found that Irwin blades cut better and last twice as long. I had barley used the saw for 10 mins before the original blade had bent and then snapped.
