How do you switch the beep off?

Sorry don't know. I think it is linked to some kind of timer but still not figured it out.

Can you turn this off?

No. It does have a start/stop button though.

I need to set a countdown timer to 30 seconds then have a loud alarm go off. Does this watch do this? Ta

It will count down from 30 seconds. However without knowing for what purpose the watch is required the alarm may not be loud enough. It is quiet. It is however loud enough for me and suits my needs.
