So far so good
We live in a flat in an old Victorian house, which unfortunately is a real magnet for all sorts of pests. Spiders are everywhere but it's the mice and rats that I am less keen on. We have a young child so we decided against poisons a few years back, and even though now she is a bit older I don't really want to go back to them. A friend recommended these ultrasonic repellents and we started off with two (a different, more expensive brand purchased mail order through an advert). I was hesitant as I'm a natural sceptic at heart, and scientific studies on the results of ultrasound to prevent pests have been mixed at best, so I wasn't really convinced. However to our surprise they really did seem to work - it may be complete coincidence but since we installed them about 2 years ago we haven't heard a single rodent, something that would previously have been unheard of for that period of time. We've been so pleased with the results that we've decided to go for another two, this time to use elsewhere in the flat - we have a lean-to at the side of the house that get infested on a fairly regular basis with little flying insects (I'm not exactly sure what they are, as they appear to be very moth-like with a silvery sheen but are much smaller than moths usually are, plus there's loads of them!). I'm hoping these will do the trick and stop them appearing again, plus hopefully get some of the millions of spiders out of there as well!A little bonus is the nightlight on top, which can be turned on and off with a little button. However the three operational lights, two of which blink in normal use, can't be switched off so if using in a bedroom please bear that in mind as it could be a distraction in the dark. A simple solution would be just cover the lights with a bit of tape.Time will tell how these pan out, but so far we've not been hit with another wave of the flying pests. However as they appear sporadically that doesn't really prove any thing conclusively, so I'll try and update this review if they do reappear.

Do not waste your money!
Don't be fooled by the "UPGRADED FOR TRIPLE IMPACT" or "EFFECTIVE WHOLE HOME PROTECTION UP TO 5000 SQ.FT" as it simple doesn't work. Have a look at the photos for a not so little critter who came in an adjacent window into the kitchen and along the worktop underneath. On receiving them I was surprised how big they were. It is quite difficult to reach the mains plug switch to turn them on/off by the socket and they are quite deep as well which precluded their use on one set of sockets I wanted to use them on.I needed two so thought this dual pack to be ideal. One for the garage for some little furry friends and one for the kitchen to stop flies and spiders entering the house. From the product photos on the website I thought the area would be swamped by ultrasonics in all directions as it looked like there was a port to the side (and presumably the other) one pointing straight forward and one angled downtowards the front. This must really swampe the area.... Unfortunately there is nothing behind them in regards to an ultrasonic transmitter and just one (the one on the side shown in the picture) has a piezo buzzer. I don't know if this can emit ultrasonics but it doesn't look like an ultrasonic transmitter as I know it.Now the units have been on continuously for nearly 3 weeks and we still get flies in the kitchen and as stated above the biggest spider I have seen made its way into the house one evening less than 3 feet from the unit. In the garage the mouse bait poison has still been taken as well.Of concern is that there are no manufacturers markings on the case and no CE or compliance markings either. Now I am not sure of the legality of this but the units are plenty big enough to carry such information and they do plug directly into the mains.

Not For The Bedroom
I bought these to add to the ones I have Frostfire, I have to say don't use these for the bedroom they will drive you mad with the constant clicking noise they make, The others I have don't make a sound with all the lights lit up so why do these? I have only used these for a short time so I hope they are ok for the job.

Got rid of the spiders and moths in my house!
We live in the country and have had a real problem with moths coming in closely followed by lots of spiders.A friend recommended using plug in pest repellers so I gave these ones a go and have been really happy with the results! We no longer have a problem with unwanted visitors to our home so no more screaming daughter because there's a spider in her room haha. They are super easy to use, just plug them in and let them work their magic!

Annoying click
I have had the Pest Repeller for just a few days and therefore I cannot comment on how effective it is, but having plugged it in, I now understand the annoying click to which others have referred. I have therefore moved them to rooms that I am not using as frequently or where there are other background noises. I can only comment that it is louder than a ticking clock so you know what to expect.

I've been very disappointed with these and have now gone and bought some ...
Unfortunately these don't work! I bought 4, plugged them into different rooms when I went away for a week. On my return there was a massive spider about 2 meters away from 1 of them :( I've only been able to keep 2 in use as they are very limited as to where you can use them i.e. not by furniture or soft furnishings, and plugs are needed for t.v. etc but in the 2 rooms I'm still using them I get spiders ranging from tiny to massive, right by them!! Note: For pests you need a plug about 1 meter high, whereas my plugs are at skirting board level. I've been very disappointed with these and have now gone and bought some sticky spider traps - hope they work better!

Top Notch
Top Notch Product. We had a problem with small Moths. Plugged one in the hallway and one in the Kitchen. Moth problem eliminated in One day. Normally at this time of the year (Sept), we get a lot of big spiders. We have absolutely none. I bought this based on reviews and was extremely happy with the results. Highly Recommend . It DOES work !
