With it all closed up, what's the height from bottom of tool box to tray? (Max height or space when closed)

Had to ask husband to measure since it is his. Between 5 & 6 inches.

Will a can of spray paint fit in the bottom and still close properly? Stated dimension is only 1.7"(?)
