UHD35STx Short Throw Gaming Projector

I have been using this projector almost every day for three years. It's performance in terms of projection is as one would expect at this price point, good but not outstanding. The original lamp lasted remarkably well failing after 5600 (approx) hours. That said, at some stage, Optoma changed the lamp housing module which meant I had a dickens of a job replacing the dead lamp. Even after phoning Optoma customer service and being promised a proforma for purchase of the absolutely not cheap lamp replacement, I received nothing at all from them. Pretty useless really. In the end, I had to buy a new lamp and module, remove the lamp and install it in the old module. It works well for me but, be honest, one simply should not have to mess around like this. I have rated the unit 3 stars for this reason and the fact customer sevice was almost none existent. To sum up, from my personal experience it's a nice unit....when it works but I won't buy another Optoma unless they're virtually giving it away.

The good + The picture is fine.... if it works. + Picture adjustment (corner positions can be changed) The bad - The HDMI link works randomly The ugly - No signal for DVD menu. - No signal for Netflix. My Sony UBP-X700 has Netflix but I cannot watch it. - The remote uses the same signal frequency as the other optoma projector. So if you have 2 projectors, 1 remote will change the brightness, contrast on both AT THE SAME TIME. -
