Never too young to read Shakespeare.
Great introduction to Shakespeare for curious pre-teen children. Easy read and preserves the original story.

Same book as son reading in school
Good book, son reading it at school and enjoying it so got a copy for home, would of been 5 stars but some pages look like they have ink spots on, doesn't affect the words though.

Lovely adaptation for classroom use
I bought this to have my own copy to annotate for my Year 4 class whilst studying this story.Itโs a beautiful adaptation of the original and makes it much more accessible for children, with lovely illustrations throughout.Overall, really useful for teaching.

โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ Perfect for School. Fast Delivery and Immaculate Condition
Picked this up for my daughterโs school reading, and it was spot on. Arrived the next day and looked immaculate - no creases, marks, or wear. The โA Shakespeare Storyโ version of A Midsummer Nightโs Dream is a brilliant way to introduce younger readers to the play, with clear storytelling and just enough Shakespearean flavour.Highly recommended for school use, especially if you want something accessible that still respects the original.

Brilliant book to engage young readers with Shakespeare
I bought 6 copies to use as guided reading books for 7-9 year olds. The character sketches and pictures at the beginning of the book captured the children's interest and their imaginations were already working overtime before we had even started the story. Most of the class could read and understand the majority of the words used and the story was abridged cleverly so that their interest did not wane from start to finish. This series of books is a must if you are looking to engage younger children with Shakespeare's brilliant stories.

Lovely
5 star, lovely story line and a surprising conflict between characters, my main likes about the story was the amazing story line a complete page turner! I absolutely loved this book as it kept me hooked however I would say that it didn't really give me much to read as it was laugh a short story, but then again, I loved it! I would recommend this book to others as I had enjoyed it so much.

A Hit
My 7 year-old granddaughter reads it over and over. This is her second Orchard Classic, and she loves them both.

Cheapens the bard
This retelling is not really true to the story. It feels more like a superficial cartoon than a tale. The humor and language are missing, as is the depth. It may have been written for children, but this could have been accomplished without talking down to children.
