Pop it gently into place small piece first than big. I wouldn’t try taking them on and off it’ll break the plastic clips. They cover the ugly hinges and make the jeep look A LOT better.

I cannot recommend these. The side walls of each hinge cover are too tall/tight against what would be the paint of the jeep tailgate paint, making it impossible to clip into the door latch itself without modification. The official hinge covers (I still have one, and am replacing one that had come off so I could directly compare while attempting to connect this) leave sidewall tolerance for the clips to bite and a little extra to protect the paint. No room at all is left for the clips to bite into their clip holders with these. There is a danger of scratching the paint pushing to try and let these bite into their clip spot. The only answer would be to modify these covers, reducing the height all around (or returning the item and buying a pair that came from a different mold. 'Technically' i could sand down the height of the hinge cover side walls and should be able to get the clips to bite. I would recommend looking at other options as the effort is not worth the discounted price.
