I assembled this stool alone after knee surgery. It's something you can do with leg propped up. The screws are finger tighten. This had to go up a flight of stairs to the upstairs bathroom and it sat nicely on 3 legs while I moved it up one stair at a time on crutches. In the bathtub shower enclosure, it supported me taking off a heavy leg brace, putting on a shower sleeve, reaching for various shower items, and doing all that in reverse post-suds. It was stable even though I moved around quite a bit. It was secure to the floor standing up with leg locked into brace and i never felt like it would give out.

Delivered quickly, easy to assemble, extremely sturdy. Fair price. Would highly recommend it.

The seat is similar quality to the previous one I had, but with extra support for the legs which makes it a much better choice if your shower floor is not flat. The suction grip handle it comes with does not work and should not be used.

I needed a comfortable stool for use in the shower that supports larger people easily. The weight limit on this is far beyond my needed limit, but I wanted the extra reassurance of stability. I have had a knee replacement and I also suffer from vertigo, so I have to be exceptionally careful in the bath/shower. This stool makes it easy to sit when I need to and the bonus gripper handle was a nice surprise add-on.I like the EVA foam pad that covers the top of the stool so you're not just sitting on hard plastic. This makes it far more comfortable than a straight plastic seat so right there is another reason to consider this particular model. The rubberized feet are also wide and have a slight suction to them, so they keep the stool firmly in place without possibly slipping around. Very helpful again for those who have limited mobility as the risk of falling due to the stool sliding is lessened.The adjustable height works well for a bit, but if you put in the cross bars for the stool, you can shorten it more than a couple of spaces. I don't know if this is a design flaw or intentional - maybe the cross bars are removable for anyone who doesn't need the added weight support? It would be helpful to clarify that or maybe revise the design a little as larger people come in all heights and I'm sure some shorter individuals may still want that added stability the cross bars provide.All in all, it was exactly what I needed and I'm very pleased with this purchase. I definitely appreciate having this comfortable, sturdy stool available while showering to reduce any potential falling due to my medical concerns.
