how do you set timer

Hi - First set the time of day by carefully rotating the black ring around the circular display until the marker on the fixed inner disc points to the actual time. There is a second marker on the inner disc showing you which way to turn the outer part. The black outer ring consist of small movable segments, each representing about 15 minutes of time. The 24 hours of the day are marked around the inner part of the rotating ring.To set the 'on' time simply move outward the black segment nearest to the desired time then repeat this action to adjoining segments until you come to the desired 'off' time. From that point leave the remaining segment as they are. You must obviously start with the gadget showing the correct time of day and once you plug it in to the socket it'll act like a clock. can I use it to plug in a dehumidifier and select times during the night when it will turn on and off?

I thought that I sent an answer.  Yes you can.   You can open and break a circuit by operating the tabs on the circumference on the timer dual. There are 4 tabs for each hour.  I use the timer to turn on/off a cooling fan, and for room lights when away from my property.   Best wishes.  Donald

Um, not sure of maximum but if it helps one of mine controls two 36w aquarium lights and one controls a 40w basking lamp for a turtle.
