This fireplace grate is extremely solid and well made. The thick round steel feels very heavy-duty and easily supports full loads of firewood without bending or sagging. It fits perfectly and allows great airflow for a clean, hot burn. After regular use, there’s been no rust-through or deterioration, which says a lot about the quality of the steel. It holds up well to high heat and still looks strong and sturdy. If you want a durable, long-lasting fireplace grate, this one is an excellent choice.

I was impressed with how beefy and heavy this fireplace grate is. The 3/4" solid round bar is welded securely and should last a very long time. Many others in this price range offer square tubing, some of those are not solid, leaving narrow weld points. The round bar just makes much more sense. The ribs are spaced just right (almost 2"). The black finish looks durable as well. I really like the middle support bar to further prevent sagging over time. Again, this was all well though out. The curved ribs also does a good job keeping the wood pile in the center. For the price, you really can't beat it.

It seems solid and heavy. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because of the quality. The welds are sloppy and the bars aren't cut off evenly but it's not terrible. The sloppy quality won't affect me, but it may be important to someone else.

I ordered two of these grates for fireplaces I have with stove inserts. They are rolled steel not cast iron which can melt at the high temps in a wood burning stove insert. They are heavy and good quality. They arrived on time and well packaged. I recommended them to family members and would to anyone. The price is good, too.

I replaced my grate that had only two rings at each end. Is great is thick, solid, functional, sturdy, and level. Closet fit my fireplace perfectly.

Works great. Just the right size for my fireplace with sufficient space for air flow. Good heavy duty steel so it won't warp.

Tough, it's made of round stock with solid penetrating heat resistant welds. My last two were flat metal. One was cast iron. They couldn't take the heat. I needed a "three bear solution", not too wide, not too high, forks not to obstructing. It is high enough that it allows coals to fall through and burn leaving a lower unburned coal to ash ratio. The forks are not too high as to obstruct pieces placed front to back, or high enough that it will not allow pieces to be rolled over them side to side. For reference I have an osburn stove 3300 with a three cubic foot burn box. It was a hard one to find with my particular needs.

Well built grate to support ample of firewood in a fireplace. I have a gas log lighter in my fireplace and this sits above it perfectly. I like the fact this grate fills the bottom of my fireplace preventing logs from falling off. Well packaged when shipped.

Yes. Heavy grate basket that should last indefinitely. Bought for our wood burner. I don't think wood burners are designed to have these inside, but wanted to see if the initial lighting of logs improved due to the better airflow using this. Yes is the answer. But the legs are too high for this purpose as it takes the logs / kindling too high above fire lighters. So ground 2 inches off the legs with a grinder.....perfect.
