Very helpful and informative
Only just got this today so I’ve only quickly browsed through but I’m already happy with it. It’s Very detailed yet easy to follow and it even shows all sketching and shading tools and how to use them.can’t wait to get stuck in and put it to practice.

Some useful information and beginners advice, printed on paper which I found to be poor quality.
The first thing I noticed was how flimsy the cover of this book is, plus the paper inside is a bit thin, so it doesn't feel as though there are about 120 pages inside. Only just over a half of them are specifically focusing on portraits, as there is quite a bit of information about drawing in general. However, the book is for beginners, which is fair enough. Some of the photography seems too dark to me on the portraits even on supposedly good examples. There is, however, some good advice and examples in this book. I like the facial proportions, and also the individual features such as eyes.

A month ago I decided I wanted to start drawing… just as a quirky little hobby to keep me off of dead scrolling on social media. To my surprise I’m completely immersed in this and I’m so excited to see how far I can go. So I purchased this book in hopes that I can learn properly and it’s a game changer. It gives you step by step instructions on how and why to do certain things. Which is great because when you know how and why to do something , you can build on that as you progress. I added a pic of my first ever ear and the second pic is a comparison of my ear and the example ear in the book! Again I literally just started drawing in the beginning of September. This is such a great testament of how good the instructions are in this book! I will definitely buy more books from Leia Bloom!!

Not great I terms of explanations and steps to follow if you are a beginner artist looking for some tips. It’s ok, but not very instructive
