I bought this just over a year ago, and it worked OK for a while. It has only been used occasionally - a couple of times a month - but I've been having connection issues for some time. Little did I suspect it was the adaptor at fault!A different adaptor resolved the connection issues.While I was initially happy to rate the adaptor as five stars because of price, I've now downgraded this to one star because of reliability.

I checked out a few of these adaptors most look as if they’re all made in the same factory, maybe they are.They were cheaper but some had a few duff reviews with the same problems probably due to their poor quality .This one has a lifetime warranty and when you see it in the flesh it is way better made than the photos show .You get what you pay for !Recommended.Update .I was wrong.Got this to connect my dash cam to the power cable .Camera was playing up .Turns out it was this adapter, it’s connections have given up.I contacted Vebox but they say they only give 1years guarantee even though they’re selling it with “ lifetime warranty “ on the packaging .So I would avoid Startech and Vebox !!!

Used it to connect an old RDS-~TMC receiver to a new Tomtom satnav; but first had to file off two of the corners so that it would fit into the slight recess on the back of the satnav otherwise the connection was not made. The design could be improved by having the reduced dimension portion of the body extended by a few millimetres to allow for such situations.

Purchased StarTech due to it being a known brand and am happy with my purchase. Not much else to say about this item but for anyone in a similar position, I purchased this to use my 3M USB to Mini USB cable previously used to connect PlayStation 3 to it's Controller. The PlayStation 4 Controller is USB to Micro USB and this adapter has allowed me to use my existing cable rather than purchase a new one. It also means I have one cable rather than several to charge different Mini/Micro USB devices. Works perfectly and connection is good at both ends. Enjoy.

I travel a lot and I’ve standardised on just bringing a single USB-C adaptor and adapting my USB devices to it via a handful of different adaptors. Micro USB was the only one that was harder to get my hands on. This particular adaptor wasn’t great for me. The micro-usb socket is extraordinarily shallow, and I found Micro USB cables quickly fell out

Didn’t work for how I wanted to use it. Too cheap for me to grumble about this though

Needed this to hook up a new in car GPS. Was replacing an old fitted system and this was just the job. Connectors feel well made and no problems thus far as it charges fine. Its very short but that's exactly what I wanted to save having lots of slack cable laying about in the car.
