I've wanted one of these magnifiers to sit on my bathroom counter, but I couldn't find the right size until now. All the others stood tall or looked massive and out of place - but this is perfect! (In the picture, the tiles are 6".) The top section pulls out from the base, so you could hand hold the mirror. However, it does have weight to it to hand hold. I'm not sure about the convenience of traveling with it though. I suppose if I was going someplace for a few weeks, I'd do it, but not for quick trips.The light is enough if your face is close to the mirror, but not if you're standing back and looking into it. Since I have old eyes, I put my face to close to everything these days so it is not a problem for me. The charge on the lighting seems to last a long time.I gave this item 4 stars because of it's perfect size and functionality for me.

This mirror works great and looks great as well. It's sturdy and has a nice finish. it is light enough to be handheld and stable on any flat surface. The light is very bright and helpful as well. The only downside is the plug in location for the power supply. It is in an awkward spot.

The excuse? Something was in their eye. Ha, Ha. Vanity.This is the right size, about 14” tall, with a detachable near 6” base, and a mirror size, ringed with light, at over 7” with the mirror surface at about 6¼”. It’s thick, at about 1¼”. The price is higher than a corded version, but I grew tired, of being tethered by a plug. Plus, the features here are fantastic. This is battery operated. I wanted that. This has a long-life battery, measured in days before needing to recharge. I had to have that. This is fingerprint resistant. I think that’s a must. LED lighting operated cooler, have a longer life, and less maintenance, which is what I wanted. The brightness is rated high at 1,200 lux, I wanted something no less than 800 which is a typical (60) watt bulb, so this fits into what I wanted. I really like this, so does my spouse. Based on the totality, I recommend this light.I hope my thoughts assist in your decision.

This lighted makeup mirror is awesome! The LED light is super bright, but you can easily adjust the intensity so it is not blinding. I love the 3 settings: daylight, warm, and cool. I have not used that since I had my first lighted mirror from Clairol in the 70s! The mirror flips smoothly between the 10X and normal views. The instructions are included and easy to follow. With normal use (15 minutes/day) the rechargeable battery should last about 28 days. The USB charging cable works well, and I love not having a power cord. The mirror stem fits snugly on the base, but it does not lock, so care should be taken when carrying the mirror. However, I held the mirror by the stem, and the base remained snugly in place. I highly recommend this mirror.

I really like it. The base is detachable and has a very strong magnet to keep it in. Havent had it fall out yet when picking it up. Its built very sturdy too. Unless i drop it and it shatters i dont see this breaking. Stays charged plenty long, i havent had it die on me but i plug it in every few days anyway. Mirror are very clear and perfect for makeup and picking at my face. Oh its also nice and weighted. Smacking this wont make it fall over.Got this to replace a old conair all metal plug in mirror. Honestly like this one better. It wont disappoint!
