Works great outside.
So far it has been great. I'm using the photosensor to turn them on at dusk and has only failed to go on once after a downpour. That tripped the GFI but no "fault" of the SUNVIE. Easy to set up.

Versatile Settings
Purchased the product the beginning of 2023 and it functioned flawlessly. The unit has a digital display with many settings that allow you to program how and when you want your lights to turn on and off. Near the one-year time frame, the built-in circuit breaker started to trip intermittently shortly after it turned on. I verified that the load on the unit did not exceed manufacturer's limits and checked all of my wiring. Ultimately I made a claim against the manufacturer and they gladly replaced the unit. Dealing with customer service was easy and courteous and Sunvie stood behind their product. I would buy from them again and plan to purchase a unit for lights I have in my backyard.

Solid, Compact Transformer + Great Warranty
Worked great for about 10 months, then it started shutting off randomly. I contacted Sunvie and they honored the warranty and sent me a free replacement. The customer service was top-notch! Aside from the random glitch, the transformer seems pretty solid.

Can have two individual circuits
I had two areas of landscape lighting installed at different times and they were on two individual transformers. One transformer stopped working and I really wanted to "tidy" up the area, so as the replacement I purchased the Sunvie 300W transformer. Pros: 1-Now I have one transformer that runs both areas of lights. 2-It can be set to turn on/off at a specific time OR on by photo cell and off at a set time, or on at dusk and off at dawn. 3-Handles either 12V or 14V systems on each separate circuit. Mine is 12V, but some larger lights require 14V 4-You can purchase the replacement photo cell separately if you ever need to do so. This is unusual and very beneficial since you don't have to replace the entire unit if the photo cell stops working. 5-The "eye" is on the end of a length of cable. So you can mount the transformer inside the garage and drill a hole through to the outside and run the photo sensor out through the hole. This will keep the unit out of the weather, although it does say that it is waterproof. 5-It easily mounts on the wall via an included bracket. It is VERY heavy, so you can not mount it on sheetrock. 6-Simply connect the wires to the back of the unit, plug it in, program it and you're set to go. Nothing difficult about it. Cons: 1-The programming is not difficult, but you better keep the manual in a safe place for when you need to do it again. It is not very intuitive at all and you will certainly need the manual in the future! 5 month followup - unit is still working perfectly and reliably every single day.

Nice Transformer
Really like this transformer. I have another transformer that had been powering a pretty long string of all LED lights. Not many lights but I think the length of the main supply line was right at the limit. Split my system into two sections and now all the lights are bright and working great. Reading the reviews I had a bit of concern about the dependability but it’s been in use a couple of weeks and so far has worked perfectly so time will tell. Easy to set up though I wish the lights that show you what mode you’re in were a little brighter. On the day I installed mine it was sunny and it was hard to see the mode.

Great customer service! You can trust SunVie!
Excellent customer service. I installed three sunvie 300w single-outlet transformers in 2021. Two of them died this year after five years of faithful service in a very harsh outdoor environment, and one is still going. Very happy with that performance from my budget transformer. I picked up these new dual zone units to replace the earlier models and one of them died after about three months. SunVie customer service asked me a few basic questions to make sure the unit was actually dead, and then fired off a replacement via Amazon, which arrived in about two days. Great attitude, no drama, the kind of customer service that simply does not exist in US companies today. Currently running 7 SunVie units powering 250 lights and will continue to be a happy customer.

Make sure you choose the correct spec
It was the only one I could find to fit the specification of the 110 volt light system
