Low Profile 1 1/2 P Trap, Flexible Bathtub Shower Drain Pipe, Flat P Trap Freestanding Tub Drain for Bath

Great for plumbing with very little space. Works great!

I bought it to replace a 3' long drain tube contraption that came with a freestanding Home Depot tube, installed over a year ago. This one works much better than the OEM setup and is of much higher quality. The OEM kit drained from the side of the tub drain, and the tube was easy to kink. This new one drains from the bottom of the tube drain which aids flow. It will depend on the design of your tub. The installation was done with the bathtub in location, sitting up on four 6" furniture blocks. It worked, and I could see how to best route the drain tubing. Note: if you are connecting the drain hose to a 1 1/4-threaded male ABS or PVC fitting going to the P Trap. You will need the bushing listed below to adapt up to 1 1/2". I used pipe dope thread sealant instead of Teflon tape for a zero-failure assembly. Also, tightening onto the 1 1/2" bushing takes using a pair of Channel Lock pliers with V jaws to grip the OD of the plastic nut. It takes a bit due to the pipe thread on the busing, and be careful not to overtighten it. Or, use two washers to lessen stress on the nut. Tighten until the hose snugs up and seals. My new freestanding tub came with a flexible drain hose, but it was thin and defective. this was a better design and the plumber preferred it to the original, anyway.

I was ecstatic to find this product that solved a costly problem that my incompetent plumber created. I wish the diameter of the hose is a little bigger & thicker. Although, the installation seems common sense enough, one of the gasket was tapered at one end and must faces the right direction or it leaks. Wish there was instruction to point out this subtle detail. Not sure how it stands up in long term, but so far so good.

Absolute junk. The slightest bend and it will crack. Returned 2 of them. Terrible product.

Was pretty upset with the stand-alone bathtub that my wife bought. It cost us over $6000 and it didn’t come with the necessary installation parts. I had to get a plumber to come by twice. The first time to review the situation and inform me that some required parts are missing and that big box stores don’t carry them. Luckily, after some research, I found this product and it was compatible. Installation wasn’t the easiest since the space was tight and the bathtub was extremely heavy. Overall, I’m glad I found this product. Fits my needs.

A little thin and cheap.

I needed clearance under a sink in an RV for a trash can. The P-trap was in the way. Found this nice unit and now I have clearance. It is light-weight but feels strong enough to do the job. The input end has 1-1/2" female thread and screws on to the bottom of the sink drain (no down tube needed). There is a nice thick rubber washer supplied for this interface too. The flexible hose has 1-1/2" female threads at both ends and two additional rubber washers. It is about 2' long when extended. I'm not really keen on the idea of drain water going thru this tube. So many places for gook to build up. If it does give trouble I will just replace it with hard tubing.

It does not cut tiles, company in responsive to refunds, had two delivered and no reps once when requested to return the unopened one, let alone the one that just did not do its job

Product was flimsy, with very thin plastic, and seals were of very poor quality. I decided it was not fit for purpose, will look elsewhere for an acceptable alternative.

Does not fit standard UK bath waste.
