Solely based on quality, I would rate it at four star but I am still rating it higher because of two reasons: unbeatable value and good packaging. The vendor, Sitaram Stationers sent a mint condition product, it was well packed and well handled even though shipped through India Post. The colours are indeed artist grade, maybe at lower end of the spectrum. Western brand will provide you just one tube for the price of this whole set. So this is perfect for beginners and intermediate artists. You will be near pro level by the time you use up all the paints...

My paints arrived with the box pretty badly damaged. I was hoping to store them in the box but it was torn on one side and badly dented on the other, so much that one of the paint pots was even dented in multiple places. The plastic wrapping was already torn off of the box WITHOUT the missing chunk of wrapping inside of the Amazon envelope, so I’m not sure if it was already damaged at the warehouse or was damaged in transit. One of the pots’ labels was completely stuck to the lid of the box, and there was a gross sticky substance all over ALL of the pots that made my hands sticky as I handled them. I was already disappointed at this point, but figured the paints are more important than aesthetics. I wiped the pots with a Clorox wipe and moved on to see the paints. Again, severely disappointed. I’m not a new painter, and have used both bottled liquid paints and tubes. I wanted the paint pots as I personally dislike how much potential waste there is in tubes since there’s not really a good way to get all of the product out, so in my opinion, you get less paint if you use tubes. However, when I opened the pots, I was honestly shocked at how little paint there was. I was not expecting them to be filled to the brim, but I was at least expecting the main body of the pots to be full? But, no. Some pots are so empty that you can even see right through the pot! There was basically NO consistency in the amount of paint in each pot. I had ONE SINGULAR pot that was sufficiently filled—one of the white paint pots. The rest were practically empty no matter how much I tried to level them out by patting them against my desk. It was not even a matter of paint being stuck on the walls of the pot for most of them, since not all of them were still thick. Many of them were very liquid, and settled quickly… but they were still practically empty. I am really disappointed in this as these are not far off of the price of a professional grade set (of fewer colors, but at least I would get the amount of paint advertised.) I sent mine back for a replacement, so I’m hoping that it will be better and that this first run was a fluke. :(
