I'm not sure it would work considering if it's worn the body temperature will keep it from changing the colour back. But it might be worth a try

If you plan on painting the whole door you're going to need 2 tins. I couldn't wait to paint door for my son & he couldn't be less interested if he tried. It's a one day novelty kind of thing

Thermochromics are sensitive to degradation by UV light which shorten their life and are water based, therefore they are suitable for interior only.
